Hey Everyone,
I spoke with Apple today. It turns out there was a miscommunication on both ends and it caused this whole process to take a lot longer than it should have. We sorted out the privacy issues with Apple. The update contains all sorts of security measures to keep your data safe. And even better, we're back with their endorsement. We're up on the "What We're Playing" section of the Games page on iTunes!

Unfortunately, being out of the race for a few days has dropped our ranking to who-knows-what on the Top Free Apps. So, we'd like you to spread the word about AF. Show your friends and tell them to get on board!

Now, here's some even cooler news. We've heard you guys loud and clear. We are removing contact list integration from Aurora Feint. Early next week we're going to put out another update which will use a system similar to Nintendo's friend codes but less of a hassle. So, once we get that out, there will be no personal data pulled from your phone at all.

In the mean time, remember these things:
1) We do not pull data from your contact list before notifying you. There is now a notification in-game when this is done. And it is only done on the community page by YOU pressing the submit button.
2) We never store your contact list on our web server.
3) All data sent over the wire is now completely encrypted.
4) No contact data is saved on your phone's hard drive anymore. This has been removed.

Thank you all for your tremendous support. Danielle and I are so excited that we can bring AF back to you with Apple's stamp of approval. We hope you enjoy the fixes and new content we've put in this version of the game. Please continue to post questions, bugs, and feedback, but make sure you have the new update before doing so though!

What's new in this version:
This update contains a load of bug fixes, lots of new security features, and some new cool new game play content.

Privacy and Security:
- Visible notification BEFORE participating in the opt-in community feature.
- All network communication is now securely encrypted using https
- No data from your contact list is saved on your phone's hard drive

New Features:
- Additional puzzle pack added (More essence levels)
- New introduction cinematic
- Cooler category names for characters
- Reset community information (Opt-Out after Opting-in)
- Reset characters levels so you can restart game progress
- Rename character and change class
- Added a few additional tutorials in game

Crash Bugs:
- iPod Touch specific audio crash fixed
- Game crashing after being interrupted (lock, text message, etc.)
- Game crashing after being locked for a prolonged period
- Game spinning trying to verify account and then crashing
- Bug when clicking on "No Friends Found" in community menu

Visual Bugs:
- Blocks getting misaligned
- Blocks staying large after letting go of them
- Text in menus going out of their box and being difficult to read
- Missing assets for equipment and skill added to game
- Made the selected row in the choose blueprint to build view more obvious
- Made the selected row in the choose magicbook to build view more obvious
- Changed the text on exiting a game to be less ominous

Other Bugs:
- Blocks not always matching up in time because of how they fall
- Account verification and updating improved
- Tool blocks not showing up in game
- Fixed the most blocks popped stats
- Fixed problem with progress on alchemy and smithing games showing strange values
- Level adjust slider now works as it is supposed to
- Auto-correct has been removed from name keyboard
- Made initial board setups more random
- Map locations now only pulse when they need your attention
- Character names can now be only alphanumeric and underscore characters

In my App Store Aurora Feint is still listed as version 1.0, but lo and behold it updated and I have a movie and tools. Saved all my progress thus far, although I did have to do the tower puzzles again.

From what Apple's download data showed I grabbed the first copy of the update, but then again who knows. I have been waiting so much, you have done great great amazing work on this game, feel free to contact me with any help you may need. Im not much of a wiz in programming, did a little C++ (although thats a windows focused code lol)...Anyway your fanbase is here to back you guys up!

Great work! New update is awesome! Everything working well so far although I had to help video play at the beginning, other then that don't have any bugs.


Edit: just crashed twice on iPod touch =\

I'm SO EXCITED to see this - HOORAY! Can't wait for my 4 hour train ride tomorrow so I have a really really good excuse to do nothing but play AF.

I noticed a complaint about a crash on itouch. I had one crash, but a simple tap of the game brought me directly back to where I was with no issues. Been running smooth since (im on iphone 3g though...)...Anyway hopping off for the night, gonna go lay in bed and continue my craze over the game. Goodluck to all and spread the word of release!

thank god you are back!!!! and with the update it is more fun playing it!!!! it was gr8 before but now it's almost divine :-) !!! for me it is the best on apple store!!! sooner or later you will be banned again for creating a new drug (because it is so addictive) !!!! LOL LOL LOL . thanks for this gr8 game
