We identified this bug earlier today and fixed it server side.
If you are experiencing a situation where you are in the mine and the game prompts you to "Buy Challenges"or "Keep Mining" but won't leave the mine -- then you're stuck!
To fix the issue you need to uninstall and reinstall the game. To do this press and hold the icon on your iPhone until it starts wiggling. Tap the X in the top left corner. Press delete. Then download it again via the App Store on WiFi.
Note that restoring the game from a backup will not fix the issue. You need to DELETE your game's local save files.
Note that you may lose your save data (depending on whether it was backed up BEFORE you got stuck), but since you're stuck in the mine, you probably don't care.

how do I delete the file in order to reload it? Also the tools don't appear anywhere in my game.

When I updated to 1.0.1.1, I was stuck in the mine. A delete and reinstall through Wi-Fi fixed the game but killed my character (all level 8, d'oh!). I'd been rebuilding my character's levels since then, until 1.0.1.2 was released.
1.0.1.2 has restored my original character, but I am stuck in the mine once again (Buy Challenges, etc.). I have deleted the game and reinstalled through Wi-Fi at least ten times, to no avail. Each time, my original character, with full levels, blueprints, magic books, tools and resources, is restored, but I am forever stuck in the mine.
Oh, lament. Is there anything else I can try?
- Chris

@ab13031: Sounds like if you are all level 8s then you are probably at the end of the game!

*slaps forehead* Yeah... I didn't catch the level 8 bit. This is the end of the game. There's more coming though, right Danielle?

Hi guys, There's a problem with the iPhone, and downloding apps over wifi. This solution *can* deauthorize your iPhone for music and apps, and cause you to have to wipe the phone. This happened to me TWICE with this solution specifically in regards to Aurora Feint, and is well documented in this apple thread: discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1644828&tstart=0Here's what I would recommend: 1- Delete app on iPhone (hold finger on app until it wiggles, delete) 2- delete app in itunes (go to applications folder, right click on app) *make sure to choose option to delete all data! 3- download app again in *iTunes* on computer 4- sync again. 2.1 and itunes 8 may fix this issue, but I would not risk it at all on earlier firmware /itunes combinations. And I'd be really weary of the update on 2.1 (make sure you have sync'd before trying the app store)

^^ How does that way destabilize the iPhone/iPod? How can a app make you restore? I'm sorry if my explanation wasn't clear enough. Basically something in the process of deleting apps off of the phone, and then installing apps through the app store can cause an iphone to lose it's "authorization". When an iphone is deauthorized, it will not allow music or video to show up or play, and it will only launch the iPhone base applications. The main way to solve this issue is a wipe of the phone. You can't even restore because that just spreads the problem. People are speculating as to why it does this, and the best advice I can give is to read the thread I linked to above. Hopefully the 2.1/iTunes 8 combination may resolve this, but it's too soon to know. For me, I'm not going to risk having

WTF. Followed all these instructions and the game continues to get stuck in the mine. It was a fun game while it lasted, glad I didn't pay for it or I would have been livid.

It's weird that the game would end like this. I have been stuck in mine for months now and thought it was a bug, because I clearly have one more magic book in the tower for some reason it is not highlighted "Silver Moon" and 6 Blueprints in Smith which aren't highlighted either. I f it aint a bug I think thats a funny way to end a game considering there are more stuff to do and unlock but just can't, since it won't let you select it... Got all 8/8 and 4/4..... ??/ Please Jason and Danielle will you clarify ....
