pretty self-explanatory . . . even when the phone is in silent mode I still get the music. Is there any way to turn it off?

I also came here to report this bug. I tried having a crafty game at work and the whole office heard the music kick in.

Hey guys. The "mute" button on the phone is for the ringer or the sounds played on the iphone and only silents the in game sound effects. The music is controlled by the volume button.

Is there a setting to change that (in the future maybe)? Maybe then you could listen to the phone iPod music playing and play the game in "silent" mode.
At least the volume setting changes with the rocker button only affect this app and not the other volume settings of the phone. Just discovered that bit of marvelousness. Nice job guys.

I am not sure this is possible but I will look into it.

I am on an iPod Touch. The Volume controls do nothing... the music is always at what seems like full blast. Extremely frustrating trying to play late at night as even the volume through the headphones can be heard in the room.

If you really don't like the sounds, try unplugging your headphones..

As stated before, the sound is controlled via the volume control. You have to be IN GAME and then turn the volume down to 0 for the sound to go away. This seems like a global setting with the iPhone itself (not sure about the iPod Touch) but if the developers can make a mute button, that'd probably work.

I'd argue that I do like the sounds, but I'd like the ability to turn the music off. That would make it work better. And no, even in game the volume control has no effect on the sound. At least not on my touch it doesn't.
I also noticed that if I am in game and press the button to lock the ipod, then unlock and play, the music is off.. with sounds only. So that might be a trick to use in the meantime. However.... once I leave the game and try to go back in after doing this, it loads up and instead of the game coming up, it drops back to the "desktop". I have to do a soft boot to get the game to come up again.
I'm still amazed at the effort, I read it only took 10 weeks to build? Wow. Get out the bugs and you've got a hit on your hands. =)

There are a lot of bug fixes in the 1.0.0.1 which will be out (hopefully) tomorrow.

As far as sound bugs I'm somewhat confused as to why it's difficult to click down your rocker switch and lower the volume that way.

I thought I heard in a different post that that did not work on the iPod Touch. Works fine on my iPhone.

That could be...It works fine for me as well...all one needs to do on an iPod touch is double tap the screen and you will be prompted to adjust your volume settings.

I like how so many people's first instinct is to assume the person posting the issue doesn't know how to use his device. I've already stated it's a touch (no rocker) and I DID double click to adjust the volume and it had no effect, hence my original reply to this topic. Looking forward to the update.

Description: Aurora Feint plays music even when the phone is in silent mode.
Repro Steps: 1) Switch the iPhone to silent mode, using the switch on the topleft side of the iPhone 2) Launch Aurora Feint
Expected: Aurora Feint produces no sound. Observed: Aurora Feint plays music.
This is a user experience bug. Yes there may be a workaround, but the expected behavior is, if the iPhone is in silent mode, an app should not produce sound at all, unless the user specifically asks for it (ie plays a song in iPod) Launching Aurora Feint does not qualify as specifically asking for sound to be played.
