This has been suggested in other threads and by other people, but I thought I would add it here.
The magicbooks are a great way to learn about simple combos and chains.
However, it is, in my opinion, harder to start a chain then keep it going so this makes learning in the first place hard. And chains are by far the most rewarding in points, if you can start one, and if not can be frustrating.
How about a tutorial/help menu showing the different ways to chain (and combo)? You could link the help button to your URL so you could have up to the minute rules/info.
How about more magicbook puzzles that throw more emphasis on chaining and the various ways to chain?
Or how about a training mode where you have to perform various chain tasks in a 'timed' way, such as doing horizontal, vertical, shove, push, fast, or multi chains? It could be done with a stack similar to mining/blueprints for realism (though it could be pre-organized instead of random). This would help people learn what is possible without having to 'discover' it on thier own. It is hard to discover if you need to use it to discover it in the first place!
Or how about a training mode where the timing on the x2, x3, x4 and even x5+ was legthened to help people out with the starting part. Then they could practice setting up the timing/patterns on the fly so that they could do the same 'on the fly' planning at higher speeds during mining/blueprints.

I agree with this post, because I'm new and I can't get past the second levels in the smithy.

Me either, burtosis has a really good idea about this. I would be nice to change the tutorial or maybe have a another one after mining a few times, there'd be arrows and everything showing you how where to put the blocks to make a chain.
