it sounds like within the week. As soon as apple decides to give the update the thumbs up it'll clear and be up for download.

I noticed that Aurora Feint shows up TWICE in the top 50 list of free apps. I wonder if this has anything to do with getting out the bugfix version?

Well, not exactly.. It's a bug that sometimes haunt apple store. It sometimes duplicates programmes when the "show 50" button is pushed. -Zwin

As far as the "bugfix version" is concerned, it has not yet been released. Give it some time and all of your minor problems will be fixed.

I can't wait. I've been addicted to this game for 2 days. I'm at the point where I have to pay 4000 for the dreameater, alchemist, time stopper and other blueprints...but I haven't seen any change in game play up to this point, so it's not worth going for the big bucks yet.
This is going to be an awesome game, though!

I guess my concern is that looking at the board, it appears that a game in early beta was released to the App Store, and that now the developers are rushing to try and put out a game that actually has full functionality and doesn't crash. I have to tell you as a computer professional and someone used to working with QA and user support for games, this is coming across as *really* unprofessional. I came to the board to try and figure out what was causing the crashes, and it seems like what's causing the crashes is that it's an unstable app, period.
So, I'm following up with friends @ Apple to make sure there's a clear way to let Apple know when an app has been released that is this buggy. I'm sure the development team for Aurora Feint are nice people, but the bottom line is that a game with this many problems, including total crashes and missing functionality isn't ready for anything other than limited beta. It shouldn't be available at the Apple App store, period.

Part of the issue is the 2.0 update I believe. I've played the game without crashes for a few days now and have had issues with other apps.

You know, you're welcome to be glib about it -- "Ask for your money back", but the point is that it's not ready for wide release, and isn't being clearly marked as a beta release. It's one thing to have a few problems, but it will crash the entire platform, repeatedly. To tell folks that they should just reboot the hardware really inappropriate -- if your app is so unstable that it's crashing that badly, you need to pull it from release, period.
If nothing else, the developers need to be a little more professional about the matter.

For the record, I have not had a single crash with the app. It's missing some functionality for sure but it runs great for me and is a ton of fun.

I've had crashes while using several apps, and I actually haven't had any while using aurora feint. The general consensus is that Apple rushed 2.0, they're already working on a stability update (confirmed) and they just pushed this one out to meet their july 11 deadline (which was already pushed back from June). Have you examined the code? Do you actually know that THIS game is causing crashes? You're just guessing. Since I've had crashes in everything from AIM to Super Monkey Ball to even Remote (developed by Apple themselves), I'm guessing its the operating system, not this game.

Again, do you know for certain that its this game, or the 2.0 software, which every iPhone related site on the internet is calling buggy? Why don't you tell your buddy over at Apple that they need to be more professional?

I do not expect much polish out of a free app. Did you go through the whole jailbreak rigmarole? This app is the epitome of stability compared to the early 1.1.3 jailbreaks.

sorry but i've had EVERY application start crashing out on me. it's definitely something to do with the 2.0 OS. once one app starts crashing (and i've had it happen on several) then it seems every app crashes. only way to fix it is to reboot the iphone and then all is well (until it happens again after a few hours).
don't go blaming this EXCELLENT game. while it is unfinished and unpolished so is the 2.0 OS.
