I'm sorry but what does Gah have to do with this? Try to wait, but if this happens, restore your ipod.

Try restarting iPhone and/or net connection by turning Airplane mode on for about 3 seconds and then turn off, I have similar issue sometimes and I still don't know where problem lies =/ it happens on Wi-Fi, on EDGE not that much or maybe not happening...

I've had this happen permanently to me. Well, permanently until I found a fix. If it happens again, and you can't make it work again, follow these instructions:
1. SSH into your device.
2. Navigate to /private/var/mobile/Library/Caches/com.apple.mobile.installation.plist
3. Backup that plist to your Mac or PC, and delete that file from the device.
4. Hard reboot your device; power cycle it completely--Off then back on.
5. Once your springboard has loaded, open the app store.
6. You should now be able to update from within your iPhone's app store
