Just curious ;D To clarify a bit about pricing In the app store: FREE either means its a lite version of another app or the dev wanted it to be free, which can mean a lot of things, ranging from even themselves thought it was undeserving of a price to they were simply nice 99 cents is typically rubbish (note the use of "typically"; some 99 cent apps are actually useful) 1.99-2.99 is either a polished app which doesn't do very much or a app that tries to do too much but is quite buggy 3.99-5.99 is where the quality starts coming in: we expect for this price a useful app with few bugs 6.99-8.99 is serious cash: very polished, very useful/entertaining, excellent replay value, almost no bugs 9.99 is the premium price: examples: X-Plane Simulator 9, Super Monkey Ball, etc.; for this price, if it's a game, at least 50 excellent levels, or excellent replay value, no bugs, etc. $10+ means this app is not for your typical person [ie: professional apps for pros, such as DJ] or it means this app has so many useful features and works so well that it is really worth it [ie: Beejive IM]

I would pay 6 dollars or more, provided that it was bug free (unlike AF: The Beginning), and had a polished feel and play.
One thing that will really bother me with a paid app is if the gameplay is not debugged to the point where there are no noticble problems. For free, I expect much less. For even just $0.99 I would expect some quality. For a price of $6-10, I expect few to no noticable bugs, and certainaly none that affect gameplay significantly.
I think this app has the ability to fetch a reasonable price (provided it is as good as I think it will be), and would gladly pay it to be rid of all the small nusciances.
Unfortunately, I am not sure the average app store customer will like the game as much as me, so perhaps a 1.99 or 2.99 price would get more overall sales.

As long as the price stays under $10.00, I would be happy...

On the first day, I bought three $10 apps--Super Monkey Ball, Enigmo, and PacMan.
I don't ever touch them anymore. Every now and then I may, but not with any kind of consitency.
I play AF nearly every day.
Take that for whatever it's worth.

i would buy this game without doubt if the developers can guarantee they will keep the same price (limited time 7:99 , and 9.99 after december) i bought bejeweled, aqua forest, scramble, and iflipr, as soon as they were avaliable and later the developers dropped the price or offered for free for a limited time.... and that really sucks.
honestly a good price for this app, would be no more than 10. this is a great game.

Yup I think up to 10$ is fair price for this game... I would say Donations would be good idea because probably it would be easier for me to make this donation than buying from AppStore, but it's only my small opinion Don't kill me please ;D It's really cool game and I would donate it no matter what...

I won't lock this poll, because it'll be interesting to see what people who have bought the game think it's really worth, but for those who still haven't discovered it yet, the set price currently is $7.99.

I think $10 might be a bit steep, especially since the pvp combat is just a best score to beat and the ghost ('asynchronous') combat is just trying to beat the score while something 'happens' at the three times tools are used or sometimes when a match of 5 is made. I was hoping to see the actual moves the ghosts do (perhaps not during combat but more like a video) so that I could figure out how other people use strategies and get thier great runs. That would be an awesome learning tool and great for experienced people too.
Right now, the game has so many bugs I think it is hurting sales and consumer confidence (esp if they haven't played AF: the beginning). I heard one player say over chat 'I feel like I bought a beta version for full price'.
If the bugs were completely gone, and the pvp improved - or more things to do added - such as the p vs. environment (monsters, quests, parties and/or clans) then perhaps $10 is a good deal.
I just hope they didn't rush it to make the holidays/beat puzzle quest (which is coming out for the iphone next month and is probably a competitor to this app) instead of getting it somehow fully ready in time for the marketing season. I really want sales of this game to go up, which probably means a better game overall for all players.
Edit: I was thinking more and as long as the game is polished and virtually bug free then $10 is an ok price. For additional features such as AF: 'The Dungeon' where you battle monsters form guilds/parties and earn items for your wall, I would even pay an additional $10. I think this game has serious expansion possibilites.

...i bought bejeweled, aqua forest, scramble, and iflipr, as soon as they were avaliable and later the developers dropped the price or offered for free for a limited time.... and that really sucks. That is a matter of perspective. You simply paid the price of the early adopter. You got it before others did. That is worth something. If you don't think so, then don't buy anything ever again, because no matter what, if you wait long enough, you'll find it somewhere at another time for less.

well i just answer the poll, i opted for $8-$10 because that is what i payed for arena. the the thing about it is i bought the arena at the that price because of the fun that i had with the beginning. it was my way of giving to the developers for a great free app that i have enjoyed hours of fun with. it just so happens that arena is great also. buggy as hell, but fun none the less. i love the sense of community with the tavern. i love being able to talk shop with some of the more helpful denizens of the world. looking straight at samurai jack and plus when i said that. it is awesome. i also like the changes to the tools. the arena it self is great. i have spent hours just trying to summon stronger ghosts to send into battle. i have also banged my head against a wall trying to beat ghosts that supposed to be on my same level. i think i played one ghost around 7 times before i finally beat it, and now i am currently trying to beat another one and have played it at least 20-30 times with no luck. but i am having fun. the new challenges are great. i am happy i paid my $8. i know future patches will take care of the bugs.
