Hello,
I downloaded "The Beginning" several months ago. To my knowledge, I never signed up for an account. I have no recollection of every entering an email address, username or password.
A couple of weeks ago, I dowloaded "The Arena". Given the option of signing up for a new account and losing all of my data from "The Beginning" or retrieving my account, I tried retrieving it. I entered every username / email / password combination I have ever used to no avail. Eventually I became frustrated and more or less gave up.
Recently I downloaded an upgrade to both games, hoping that this would resolve my problems. To my great dismay, now "The Beginning" is also asking me for my account information, so I can't play, or even access, either game.
I am really disappointed. Is there an escape from this loop I am stuck in without deleting my history?

I grabbed The Arena this morning; I entered in what I thought was my username and password, but it got rejected.
So I hit the 'forgot password' button. I got an e-mail back with my username ('slab') and a randomly generated password, with a link to the change password page. Thing is, though, entering my username (or my e-mail address) with the randomly generated password gives me a 'No account could be found with given email and password!' error.
Curiously, when I go to the verify account page, it seems to think that my username is 'slab2'. Which doesn't work in the change-password page either. WTF?

Oh, and neither 'slab', 'slab2', or my e-mail address, nor the password I thought it was nor the new randomly-generated one work, in any combination.

I can't get my UDID. There is no /Library/Lockdown folder on my Mac. Nor, if I click on the serial number of my iPod when it's connected to iTunes, do I get anything at all. Is there any other way? Download Ad-Hoc Helper, from the app store. It will tell you your device ID.

...I get the message 'Character Not Unique' within 'The Arena.' Did I either waste my time working on a character in 'The Beginning' or waste my $ by spending $7.99 on 'The Arena' and possibly needing to start from scratch??!? Try changing your character name in The Beginning, and then transfer it over to The Arena with the new name.

I managed to play The Arena for some time using my original account name (istara).
But I could never do the ghost thing, it just wouldn't save.
So I followed advice on here and deleted the app ad reinstalled it.
I was able to log in , and it said "retrieving data" but it doesn't find any character info and it keeps coming up as "username not unique" again.
I have tried to be patient with this app as it's new, but I really feel that after several weeks now I would like some way of getting it to work properly if possible. And I want to use my original character name.

I am experiencing transfer problems. I have tried everything and although i am being told an e-mail is being sent never get one. I was very far along with the beginning and would like to transfer that to the arena. Can you help. Thank you

I would like to transfer from The Beginning to The Arena and cannot do so. I don't remember creating an account when playing The Beginning, but have tried all email accounts and haven't received anything. Please help.

hi, in purchasing the new game, my account got botched. user "robothouse" can someone help out??? I had a lvl 57 account, then the verify process botched it all up. I've tried all the methods to fix the account, but to no avail...

I am having a problem transferring my beginning account to the new updated version. I am entering my login and password and it says that it cannot retrieve my account. I then tried to do "forget password" and enter what it sends to me in the email and it still doesn't register. Please let me know how I can fix this bug so that I may not lose all of my data. Thanks

*Edit* Found the shift key nevermind* My AF 1 account had an apostrophe in it and now I can't type in the original name to get the account back. The account is Ilzt'Din

I became addicted to this game (AF the beginning) months ago. Then during one of the last few updates My account was lost (character Tempe4). I loved playing so much I just started a new account - where it never allowed me to Level Up - just always brought me back to the Mine. Then 2 days ago the app locked again asking me to transfer my account or start a new one. I have deleted the app from my phone and reloaded it - set up a new account (combsra or combsrs I think I mistyped it). After playing for an hour or so it locks again - to where I have to do a soft re-boot - and what do you know again it is asking me to transfer or start a new account.
I love this app, but this is getting old - please help!

I recently purchased the arena, having played the beginning a while back. The username/password I was emailed through the forgot password feature does not allow me to reactivate (the beginning) / Re-Enter (Arena), change password, or verify my account. The only thing I can do is see my Character Profile using my deviceID.

not very happy with paying 7.99 for this game and The Beginning not transferring over on my I-touch/ipod. I have tried what you mentioned in this thread. I was able to get an account verified online but gave me incorrect information. Online had me at level 37 but I am at level 3. Do not know where the UDID is to use that information for verification. I can't seem to get the account to be transferred on my itouch. what do I need to do? Anyone? URGH!
