Hi-
It seems that the game is actually speeding up as my multiplier increases when summoning. Also, it seems that the point at which this happens is inconsistent. I can understand if there was a point set to speed up the game once your multiplier gets big enough, but this seems not to be the intent of the programmers, based on what I've read here in the forums the last couple weeks... And again, it appears to be pretty inconsistent as to when it happens.
I was able to get pretty good chains (X50+) in the summoning circle a couple weeks ago, but now usually around x25 or so everything just pops and collapses unexpectedly. Maybe it's just my substandard summoning skills (nifty little bit of alliteration there), but it really seems to wreck the game's rhythm.
I've played enough now that I should be able to do better than my previous ghosts, but I can barely reach half my score since the update patch to The Arena. That patch fixed a LOT of issues, but this is just something I've noticed... Anyone else seen this? Would uninstalling and reinstalling help? And if I did that, is there any way to revive my stats so as not to need to completely rebuild?
Thanks!

I have noticed this too. I originally figured it was part of the new timing scheme (a major improvement by the way - getting chains started is not as hard).
But around x25 or so it does seem to speed up again, and is not very consistent. It appears to speed up if you make too many matches (juggling) instead of keeping up the combo. It seems to slow back down if you increase your chain.
I had seen this in the original and update (2.0.1 IIRC). Not sure if this is supposed to be the case or not - but it is whats happening.

Cool. So it's not just me. At least I can feel a little better about myself now.

I've noticed too. It used to be that juggling was enough to keep it slow, but it appears that only chaining is effective now, which is a downer, because I'm better at juggling.

I'm glad it's not just me! I've noticed it in the mine. Once I get to about x7 or x8 it speeds up and I can't keep it going. I got up to x51 in the "Beginning", so it's not like I don't know what I'm doing.

I can get up to about x60 fairly easily, but from there, I always seem to lose it.
