I have searched the forum and looked around inside the game and I still have a couple general questions I was hoping to get answered.
How "hostility" is scored (there is a post on this, but no answers).
How do we know how damage to the opponent looks/affects them. Could we see a side by side comparison on an online video or something?
And how do we know how long we have in the arena? I know the ghost is timed, but sometimes the game ends so much faster than I expect, and I don't really get it.
If we have topped our level off, will there be a new version where we can level up again (and will our original buying of version two cover those costs)?
I also want to know how that crazy person has 46k, 'cause I'm stuck at 700 and feeling pretty good about it. While I'm asking all the questions, have we figured out who shot JFK? Guess I'm just a curious kind of guy.
Thanks for any and all help.

I can't give you all the answers, because I'm not experienced in Arena, but as to how somebody got 46K [crystals? presumably]:
When the game was first released, there was a cheat/bug that allowed you to basically get insane amounts of crystals and resources [quite a few managed to get in the billions, go over the limit, and get negative crystals o.o]

Thanks, but I was talking about looking in the hall of records and seeing that someone has a ghost that is 45k (and I am excited when I get over 1k). That just seems unreal to me to have that high of a score in such little time, and I was wondering how they did it.
Thanks again

It is not a cheat. It is a strategic manipulation of tools and a continuous multiplier. Read the strategy thread. That will teach you about multipliers. The strategy outlined in that thread is only the foundation for a high score in The Arena. You will need to combine this with some well-placed tools, when building your ghost. Also, just so you know, Plus3, the current top scorer, at 46k, is burtosis, from this forum. He has posted his video in that same thread here, which shows how he is able to get extreme multipliers. Combine this technique with a few tools, and your score will increase exponentially.

Don't get so easily impressed with the high chain multipliers on that video. The multipliers that plus3/burtosis achieved in that video were performed on AF: The Beggining which are much easier to maintain than in the AFII: The Beggining and The Arena. In the Arena, once you achieve a x19 multiplier, the time that the blocks glow reduces from 7 seconds to about 1.5 seconds, wheras The Beggining will keep the 7 sec glow forever. I think the devs added this feature into The Arena to keep it from being so easy that even noobs could get really high scores. The only way that people achieved those 40k+ scores is through the use of exploits. I would like to see someone mine a chain greater than x57 in the Arena. Thats about as high as I have gotten...

Did you even bother looking on the time/date stamp of this thread?
Yeah, I didn't think so.
That was an early version of Arena.
