So... I've paid, I'va downloaded, I start AF ARENA and was love... Now I have troubles, but PLEAAAAASE, I'm home from work let me plaaaaay, I love it! ;D

I am also unable to run the 2.3 update. It often crashes on launch and throws me back to the home screen, or if I do get the app to launch it tells me it can't retrieve my account. I had to delete 2.3 and reinstall 2.0.1.
I have to add my support to those who have expressed frustration with Aurora Feint. I've had the software installed on my iPhone since day one, and have tried to support the developers since the beginning, but my patience is wearing very thin. I won't continue to support them with my money if things don't improve monumentally and fast.

Great game. Terrible problems.
This reefers to the Free version (i WANT to pay you for the program, but I have to able to resolve these account issues first!)
About 5 days ago I loaded the Free version. Ran into all sorts of problems with the account not being available as per other posts, although I don't ever remember creating a specific account. May have been complicated when my iPhone was swapped out for another one due to a hardware problem.
Anyway, I loaded the new version today (12/30/08). Now: I run the app. It gives me the "Device Recognized" screen with Reactivate or New choices.
If I try to Reactivate it does not recognize my username/password. If I then say Forgot Password and type in my username it says "Failed to regrieve Username and Password".
I'd be happy to just give up and start a fresh account with this device. So if instead of "Reactivate" I choose "New" on the Device Recognized screen, it momentarily says "Creating new account" and then takes me to the game. Great. I now have a seemingly new account with no saved progress. BUT, if I play awhile and then restart the game, it again does not recognize whatever new account it seemingly created.
HOW CAN I JUST START FRESH??

The Arena was working ok until I installed the update. Now I cant play the game at all. I need help please.

Same problem here - says something about the iphones AppleID then crashes. Rebooted device and got a bit further where it said my device wasn;t right or something like that - then it crashes again like now!

Hi jason, i already did about 10 times what you said, but still not working, the game crashes... Going to play without the update, better than not playing

Jason, Okay, this might sound crazy, but were there two updates pushed at the same time-for AFII and Arena? ? I have Arena and this update does not indicate that. The context of the How to Update screen is about AF: the Beginning. I have deleted and reinstalled twice. Where is my game? ? You guys have created a great game. I absolutely love it. So many people are so passionate about it. But these updates are extremely frustrating.

Arena Crashes on Load after the Update:This is related to save files being corrupt during the update process we believe. - Uninstall from device by pressing and holding the app icon - Resintall from the device appstore (not the itunes computer one) - Go through the account wizard and everything should be good Got the "If you have the Arena..." messageThis shouldn't happen anymore! Our servers were experiencing growing pains over the last few days. Hi Danielle,
I have had the same problems as everyone else, the crashing back to the home screen. Now after a uninstall and reinstall, I get to the part where it detects my account, and everything, even lists my e-mail address.
Now, it wants me to enter a password, twice. I do this, and it tells me that my, "Email is not unique."
I did not find this situation in your list above, so I thought I'd ask.
Thanks for working on this!
Edit, I'll send you an email, as it looks like that may be what it will take to get this straightened out...

I can't get into the game at all. It just says checking account status, "authenticating account" and then drops me back to the desktop of my ipod touch. I tried everything suggested here and it still doesn't work. Thought my some magic it might work today but no go. I'm just glad to know it's not just me. I'm Shadow99 but my actual username is Thankfulheart62.

I'm having problems after the "update" b4 the update. I was able to log on and off very easily even getting my accounts switched from the first to the arena was rather simple for me. But, last night trying to log on was rather of a headache. It was telling me searching for my I.D on my apple device?! After it say that it just shut off and went back to my home page on my Ipod I tried several times and then just gave up! I love the game and am hoping I'm able to play again. Just a heads up that their are some technical problems with the new update I'm sure you are in the process of fixing it if it's not already fixed!
