Hello there
I'm another The Beginning Player who did the mistake to install an update from iTunes. After that, my device is not able to transfer my account data. On the web page I can still verify my account, but there's no way to transfer the data into my iPhone.
Does anybody have an idea how to solve this problem? I'm not willing to re-start the whole game again....

Just bumping for some attention. At this point I believe the developers skipped town because they were overwhelmed with all the "account" issues. And that Sucks!!!!
UPDATE: As of the 01/13/09 update my crashing account problems have been FIXED.

Yeah upon starting AF The Beginning I get a note saying the account is being used on another device and would I like to Transfer or create New.
I select Transfer enter username and pass and it reports that the account could not be transferred.
Sigh....

I did NOT use iTunes to download the Beginning update. However, I too am having the exact same issues. I found a message in another forum to email dcressley@gmail.com and have him look into fixing my account. No idea why this is happening.

Same problems as people pointed out here. I can verify via web form, but when entering exactly the same values into my new iPod touch (previously I played on the iPhone) it says it cannot fetch the account :-(

Same problem here, can't retrieve my account or even user name & password using my e-mail.
