Ok, I have been trying, for months it seems, to summon a better ghost and I can't for the life of me. I know a few weapon combos, so getting my multiplier up isn't the problem. The problem is keeping the multiplier long enough to get a good score. I have also noticed that there are quite a few people who have kept the multiplier till the very end of the summoning and it doesn't even get calculated so they have a high score yet a multiplier of 1x. I think there has to be something that I am missing because frantically trying to make matches with a 100x multiplier just doesn't work unless you are extremely lucky. I am starting this thread to hopefully get peoples input and help shed some light on tips, tricks, techniques on maintaining the multiplier one is able to achieve. Any input is appreciated! It is obviously possible but I think there must be something I am missing...

Practice while mining to keep your multiplier and create matches faster. Once you realize the potential of the weapons, you should also realize their huge limitations. They are only valueable in so far as much as you can keep the value of it going. Otherwise it becomes quite meaningless.

That is true. When you use tools to gain a multiplier, you do not benefit from the same "multiplier lag" that you are given if you do it naturally.
It took me a long time to be able to maintain my multiplier after using tools as well, but after a lot of practice, I started getting it. You have to be very fast!

I understand about tools, their advantages as well as their disadvantages. I understand about juggling and combos. I realize all of these things and more. I know that I do get better with practice but still am not able to beat my ghosts score to summon a better one. I am not all that bad with a score of 23,000 but I would like to continue to get better.
I started this thread to help myself and others on the road to actualization. I hope that more people will post various ideas and tactics, techniques and thoughts that they have found useful to maintain multipliers. I know there are many people who maintain their multipliers to the very end, what are some ways that others might accomplish the same feat?
All responses are welcome, lets get some volley's back and forth to hopefully find some good tips, tricks and techniques to really improve our game. After all, as a community we should be helping each other reach their full potential.

I agree. For a very long time, I was stuck at 14k, and felt hopeless to improve. Now I'm stuck at 26k, but I don't actually feel as hopeless as the last time I was stuck. I could use some practice, but I haven't been playing as much lately, due to a new job that I have taken on, with a big commute. Well, that, and I've also been reading a lot.

Well I find keeping them easy. I've found a certain setup for levitate that gives me the natural pop time. What I can't get is how the top two got INSTANT multiplyers upwards of fifty. I get my first seventy or so from my three levitates. But that takes me a couple seconds cause it is hard to set up. How do you get instant high multiplayers??

shadeslayer: Read the descriptions for the tools (on the choice page) really carefully and you will see it!
