Straight to suggestions:
1. Make character development more clear. Gear — stats — spec.
a. gear is somewhat lacking atm. Not only you cant equip it for different benefits, its also very standard and basically comes through routine operations — destroying more and more and more blocks, then destroying them some more and then destroying them faster. Make some cool unlocks for different combos. Like chain of 10-50-10, destroying everything on the screen, destroying 100-1000 red blocks in one chain, destroying 7 blocks in a raw, destroying 7 blocks horizontally and veritically in one move.. smth like that.
Would be cool to have an ability to buy gear with crystals and win them in battles vs other players.
b. stats are non-existent, would be cool to have some - strength — your blocks give you more crystals - dexterity — harder to loose your chain (time of explosion increased) - wisdom — power of your tools increased - intelligence — requirements for building tools decreased by %. etc
c. Spec. Allow to change your spec (built tools), i mean, after certain level it takes TOO long to mine to get an upgrade. Some changes in this would be appreciated.
2. World. As was suggested already, make something to explore. Like a dungeon where you could mine to have a chance to dig some unique tool or challenge npcs for crystals or for level up.
3. MMO part. Would be cool to have some integration between players in lets say guild. After guild wins X amount of battles or farm X amount of resources players get some visual distinction or some in-game feats.

i agree to everything except for the stats, this game could go far beyond a garden variety stat assembly almost all MMO's use that
