I don't know how the game will handle you being maxed out. It doesn't seem like you will be able to "level up" anymore. How funny would it be if you updated and the only thing you got was: "You win! Thanks for playing our game!" :-) I would be disappointed, I want to keep playing. Not having anything to work towards kind of kills crystal grinding. I want to keep going! I'll be sure to post here after the update (with spoiler alerts) on what happens.

lol...
......as he twists the iPhone that last fateful time and grinds his way to 250,000 crystals.... Suddenly he receives a message from AF-
It reads: Congratulations...You just won the internet and a bag of skittles. (hands bag of skittles)

I leave my iPhone in one static position the entire time (fastest way to grind out crystals) But seriously? Skittles? Please gieb!>!!

There are a few tricks you need to figure out to play the game stationary, I basically play with two main strategies, and literally I never have to flip/turn the iPhone in any direction. It is by far the fastest way to grind crystals because you never have to wait for the animation of the blocks. I would recommend giving it a whirl ;D

Twisting it seems to be a total liability to me. Everytime you do it the screen gets another line of tiles at the bottom. I can't figure out how to make it work for me, so stationary is al I do as well.

That's what I was wondering...I guess my friend was playing for a solid week w/o knowing one could flip the screen lol. I"ll have to give this a shot in a while once my phone's done "backing up" information for another 3 freakin hours lol.

Does the screen really get a full line everytime you flip *starts up iPhone* I can play flipping just fine, it is just a difficult way to play. Think of it this way, you have to kind of relearn the position of each block everytime you flip, with stationary play style you always know where the blocks are. It is really just about matching combinations. I go for 4/6 move combos but mostly focus on getting multiplies (have had up to 7x). Having the phone in a stationary position lets you blow up blocks VERY quickly. I am not going to give up my secrets on how I farm really really fast, but I am sure people will be figuring them out pretty soon, as the game play is not that advanced.

The biggest combo multiplier I've ever gotten as of right now was a 4x combo. (btw...does 4x mean instead of bursting, say, 12 blocks...it would give me credit for bursting 48 blocks instead?)

I am pretty sure this is correct, I don't even know if it has animation for over 7x, because I am pretty sure I have gotten above this (I have cleared basically the entire screen but a few blocks in one big string combo). With 2x it defintely gives you 6x resources rather than 3 for a normal 3 point combo.. other than that I have not checked it. Usually when going for combos I keep going for more and more points. That is another plus of not relying on flipping you have complete control over your blocks the whole time. Also you want to try and learn how to work around exploding blocks so that the animation of the explosion does not slow you down. Hope that helps.

with multipliers its beneficial to build bigger combos, flipping gives you the ability to build larger combos and chains. Sometimes you just don't have the tile you need in the row you need it.
I routinely make set ups like this.
XX YZ0 YZ0 00B0 YZF YZX
Once you get that set up, you flip the middle 0 and B, it breaks 5 tiles, drops the two YZ's on top of the other two YZ's which poof then drop the X's down to the last X which poof. It's great and easy to set up repeatedly, but without flipping it'd be d**n near impossible to get everything where you want it. Once we get multipliers farming with a consistent combo / chain set up will probably net more crystals per minute.

That is a good point and I have thought it over, I get giant combos just fine without flipping, in fact I probably get more, if not get them faster. With dropping tiles and constantly pairing different tiles together in certain ways for preparing of other blocks you blow up you can get great combos.
I do a lot of 3 block blow ups but I also do a ton of 7/8/9 block blow ups all with a little strategy. I'll believe it to be faster when you can farm 1,000 crystal in 5 minutes with flipping.
The update might change things around though.
