OK, I recently got a new series. I put it through iSquint as normal, High quality, iPod size, H.264. It sync's just fine. But: when I tap it to play it, I get a wonderful "This movie format is not supported". Ive tried resyncing it, Ive tried removing it from iTunes and putting it back. Neither work. The issue is, I have countless series that -do- work, with the same format: So is it new to importing to iTunes 7.7 maybe? Or is it the 2.0 firmware? If I let iTunes do its "Covert for iPod/iPhone" thing, then it will take 36 hours total (If they all take as long as the first one did) to do the series, which is an amount of time that is kinda too long for me to be without my computer. Why does this series fail when others still work, even after resyncing, etc? And how can I get it to work? Im running a iPod Touch 16gb with the 2.0 firmware and a Mac G4 running OSx 10.4.11. Please help! Thanks.

I suspect that it might be a 2.0 issue. Its a new firmware, and there are always bugs. But as apple has made no move nor mention of a fix, I'm hoping that there is a work around.

This is just another one of the endless bugs apple hasn't fixed yet with their mpeg-4 and quicktime players. I have the same situation at home on my lenovo. I downloaded Ironman in mp4 format which worked seamlessly, but when I downloaded southpark in mp4 format it decided to not work. I'm not a developer, code writer, or a man of much computer engineering knowledge...but I do know for a fact that it's something within either iTunes itself or quicktime. sorry i can't help ya out.....

Check your original video file for PAL formatting. If PAL formatting is present you need to convert the file to NTSC before prepping it for the iPhone.

I suppose it could be the size of the video, and a bug with the firmware not allowing videos over a certain size onto the iPod/iPhone. It could also be the formatting of the file PAL or NTSC though i doubt it because I'm sure the iPod/iPhone are multi region (so it's cheaper for apple). You could try using a different codec... other than that it's just a bug in the firmware.
