I don't think this would be too hard to do. You could have an option where you enter a number and it would be used as the random number seed to do tournaments. You would be given a certain amount of time (maybe 5 minutes) and you try to get as many blocks as possible. Your friends could then enter the same number and you could compare scores after. Maybe there could be some official verification file that you could email to a server that might want to hold a massive tournament.

Wow, Asmeurer, this sounds like a great idea! I'd love to challenge other people in this type of tournament play

the only problem here being lets just say it was launched, of course you would be able to play with strangers, and then that raises privacy concerns to some ppl, as unfortunately af is already being accused of being spyware due to the community feature

I'm not sure you understand my idea. There is no privacy concern. You just enter a number, it could be any number that you make up, such as 123456, and then AF would then use this as the random number generator seed for the game. If someone else enters the same number on their device, they would get the exact same blocks as you did, because the random number generator would have the same seed. Check out en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Random_seed if you don't know what a seed is.
