I don't know what your powerups are all going to be so far, but I have a good idea for one. You would choose a certain type a block, or it would be chose for you, and for a certain amount of time or until a certain number of blocks are broken or levels of blocks gone through, you would not see that element. By eliminating just one element for a while, you would make harvesting the other elements that much easier.

not to like crush your idea but why would that be useful, because in the mining game, you get the same exp. for different blocks

Having one less block will help you to mine faster. Think about it.

You'd have more opportunity to mine the five other elements faster, so if you needed a certain number of shadow blocks to complete a challenge (just a "for instance"), you could get the requisite number of blocks in a shorter amount of time. I think it's less linked to experience points or crystal-stocking and more so to the specific type of element you're trying to collect, since that does seem to have relevance (when building blueprints, for example) or at least it could have further relevance as the game progresses.

It would especially help for blueprints (though I think the later ones require all the elements anyway). But it would also help for other items too. Imagine if there were only two elements: creating groups would be easy because there would only be a few ways the blocks could come up and not already be in groups of three. If you expand this to three blocks, it would be a little harder with more possibilities, but still easier than four, etc. As long as all blocks are equal, you benefit by the reduced complexity of having fewer types.
Of course, this could just as easily become an additional challenge for the smith if you lose one of the types you need until you mine a certain amount.

Of course, this could just as easily become an additional challenge for the smith if you lose one of the types you need until you mine a certain amount. Thus, you have to be able to pick it, or I wouldn't want this sort of powerup Just sounds like it could turn around on you. It would be cool if after you achieved the powerup, you could, "destroy" said block type with a timer of X seconds (depending on level) by tapping the resource type at the top of your screen(counters). It then would display a small image with a timer counting down, so you knew when to expect the color to come up again. Would be kind of tricky, tricky ;D. Go code monkies, go code monkies.

Looks like I predicted the alchemist tool here. I hope that using this tool will make this make more sense to people.
