The new tower puzzles are great, and actually present a challenge. The problem is this: some puzzles require you to look at them for a good minute or two to figure them out. You can't move the device or touch the screen until you figure it out, or else you will screw it up. So you have to hold the device upright until you get it. My suggestion is that you make a button at the top of the puzzles that says, "Solve," or similar, and until that button is pressed, no touches or rotates will do anything. That way you don't have to worry about make accidental moves while you are figuring out the puzzle.

Seconded. I'm usually careful, but it'd be a shame to lose 1000 resources for not holding still.

I was thinking the same thing actually. The button could say anything, pause, solve, whatever but it would be nice to not be nervous about accidentally tipping it

Agree wholeheartedly! I'd also like to see the spheres a little brighter. It can be hard to tell which color is which sometimes!

I have a iPod touch. There is a brightness setting on the phone, and I have it set to auto-brightness, but I can see everything else just fine, including the other balls in the tower.

Yep, you have to "pay" the amounts listed in the boxes for a magic book or a blueprint. That's why you can't always build everything (usually you need wind).

The brightness of the pieces in the tower games is an issue. I am also 99% sure that I failed a tower challenge that allowed 1 move because the piece takes a long time to drop into place and the game registered failure before the ball had time to complete it's move. I can't remember which challenge it is, and I can't afford to waste any more wind bricks trying to figure it out.
It did involve dragging a green tile to the left so it would fall and complete a horizontal green row, which would explode and drop a dark blue row into place.
The green ball was 3 spaces up.

Yes, a "solve" button or something that says "begin puzzle" would be good. Back in the beginning when I couldn't get enough wind to save my life, I was so upset that I lost a tower puzzle b/c my 80 pound dog tried to crawl in my lap cuz she is scared of thunder. needless to say, my ipod tipped just a bit... and i had to go back to the mine to collect more wind, after i got my umm "lap dog" to stop squishing me.

"Begin." That was the word I couldn't think of when I posted this.

This is a great idea! Especially for the harder puzzles, where I've wanted to look at them for a bit first. I've accidentally screwed up more than one by accidentally tilting/hitting/getting jostled by my five-year-old son.
This might also address the concern (in a different thread) about accidentally starting off in the wrong orientation, and losing a turn.

Workaround to keep from losing resources in the Tower:
The first time I select a new puzzle in the Tower, I take a screenshot immediately ... it doesn't help the first time, but you can study the picture before trying again. It took me a while to realize I was wasting resources, and this really helps!

I was going to post that screenshot hint, but I though it might count as a spoiler. Actually, it can help the first time, just quit the game and figure it out and it will resume when you open it again.
