I am running original iphone. I am on enlightenment level 3. It is crashing everytime I play mining. It is very annoying since I need the crystals to buy buildprints. It crashes anywhere between 800 and 1200 crystals.
My friend is on journeyman and played for 2 hours last night, no problem. Again, annoying.
I hope this helps.

If I play easily -- not much phone flipping, not trying to keep the field as full of blocks as I can handle, etc. -- I encounter extremely few crashes. It's only when I try to push things that I end up with the frequent crashes. Also, crashes seem to accompany other glitches often: there have been occasions where it froze up and it showed me having things like 43,160,472 crystals and an unviewable amount of mined resources:

Thanks for this guys. We will continue to look into all the crashes that you bring to us. It is very important when making a post about a crash related bug that you let us know the following:
1) Device Type 2) OS being run (are you a developer still running the seed of OS 2.0?) 3) Development Device? 4) Jailbroken Device?
Other interesting things to know would be whether you are running something else in the background (ie. iPod, Push Email, etc.), and whether you are having crashes with other applications on your device (since 2.0 i have been having some problems with even the standard iphone apps).
Thanks

16 gb iPod Touch Version 2.0 Aurora has been updated
As I believe I read somewhere else last night on this site, my Aurora just crashed when two "hammer" tiles were about to come onto the screen. One had already surfaced and the other was about to rise (and therefore break due to a fire tile on top of the first hammer) when the game froze.
I was not running any other apps and have had numerous other crashes with Aurora.
Also this particular game was started last night and left to sit before I came back to play this morning.

16GB iPhone 3G Version 2.0 (5A347) (not jailbroken) Aurora has been updated to latest version
The game never used to crash at all and now it crashes all the time when playing the mining game. When the bar gets to be about half full, the game just freezes up.
Checked the game this morning and now it won't launch at all. I'm going to try deleting it from iTunes and from my phone when I get home. And then re-downloading it. Bummer that I'll have to start over but there it is. At least I'm better at the game now.

J, iPod touch 16GB Retail version, v2.0 release version, non-jailbreak. (How can I check the version of AF on my iPod? Is there a way to do a clean install and not loose my progress?
Most of the crashes are coming back from sleep. Either AF won't launch and I have to reboot the device, able to launch but screen freezes after resume is clicked. Other issue is that sometimes when resume works, then the rotate function does not. I have quit AF and tested other apps that have rotate and it was fine. I also still have the stuck block issue when I slide blocks, it sometimes stays big and doen't drop into place and I have to nudge it.
I just turned off PUSH so will see if that makes a difference. All of the above was within range of my home wifi so there the internet was "there".

I haven't had AF crash on me yet. I have had the bug happen where the crystals will just start adding up indefinetly. When this happened I returned to my homescreen, and restarted AF and everything was normal...except I had over 20,000 crystals By the way, I am using an original 8gb iPhone.

I am playing on a 16gb 3G and it keeps crashing. At startup it'll show the startup image where it says "takes 30 seconds" at the bottom, I'll hear the music for about 1 second, then it goes to the home screen. I try again and get the same thing.
Sometimes mid play it just stops freezes up the entire phone. I have to power down the phone just to get back to the home screen on the iphone.

I have 3g iphone black 16g I've noticed more crashes since the update. Crashes happen when mining. In some cases, after the crash, the program will not start-up. Great game though...a little work needs to be done to fix the bugs.

The most consistent crash I get is the tool block crash. No matter the circumstances, AF will crash as soon as two tool blocks (any type) are on top of one another with the top one in the lowest usable row and the bottom one in the partially visible row. iPod touch 16GB, about 2GB free, never jailbroken, never used a development version of the firmware, downloaded the app from the device itself. The crash happens whether or not sound effects are on and whether or not I was listening to music/podcasts. I do have push email on. I don't think there's anything else running the background.
Most other apps are rather stable but I do have a bunch of CrashReporter logs from "mediaserverd" (pretty much as many as iMmo logs, pretty much at the same times) and some from MobileSafari. Other CR logs are much less frequent but they do include some standard apps (Maps, App Store, and even Low Battery, at one to three crashes each, compared to 136 crashes for AF).
I did delete several of the apps which were crashing on me (AIM, Exited, iFob, Instapaper, ShoZu, YouNote, Zintin).

Okay, I'll bite. I love this game, and found the forums the other day to learn more, and I agree that no one is coming here looking for the forums unless they have become as big a fan as us, but I signed up jsut to respond to this. I also love the update, thanks for all the fixes. Love the way the new items work.
I am an original iphone owner still using an original iphone and I have had no problems with the game other than maybe one time, which was eawsy to fix. Your program certainly works better than all the other free programs I have downloaded, and several of the paid ones as well. Great job!

Hello. I have signed up like some others to post in this discussion. Along with some, I had few problems before the update but now there are crashes at random intervals. I might play a little more than many as I put in about 4 hours today. Anyhow, problems encountered are:
Tip bug: in either the smithy or the mining area where the game plays but no tipping works. Freezes: when choosing things in the store; when mining; when waking the game; When going back into the store from the map, when in the tower. No element things: I can choose the up to three part in the smithy but none of them ever come up while making the blueprint. They turn up no problem when mining. Push: I find it a little slow sometimes so I often push the tiles up. If it is being pushed at the same time some tiles are exploding then it often freezes.
The only way to fix is by holding the power and home keys until I see the apple again.
I am on a 1st gen iPod 8gb. I have mail on auto collect. All the updates available for the iPod are installed as is your game. I have even deleted your game completely, reinstalled (strangely, it wouldnt do it via the app update and said I had to via iTunes) thinking I'd start from the beginning only to ring that my profile and level had remained intact. In the game, I am on 7/8 or 8/8 on the main choices and 2/4 on the others. I am level 3. Other than my inside leg measurement I can't think of much else I can tell you.
Your game is gripping and a lovely idea. I am very interested where you will go with it. Thank you for sharing it for free too. Best wishes.
