There's a bug in the tower, particularly with the more complex puzzles, where even if you solve the puzzle in the number of moves allowed, the game sometimes doesn't recognize it and counts it as a "loss." Given what I've seen, I think the issue might have something to do with the move not being made or registered within a certain time limit, so that even though the pieces are falling into place, the game ends the puzzle before all of the reactions get a chance to play out like they should. If the game engine would allow an extra second or two to see what happens, that might fix the problem.

I've had the same thing happen; I just go back and redo it, because most of them are simple to solve, at least so far. My problem is that whenever I fail to complete a magicbook, it doesn't let me go back and redo it ever since I got the upgrade. I can't select it, and when I push "Learn Magicbook Skill," it tells me to choose a magicbook to learn--but I can't. The category is shaded and almost transparent. Sometimes if I get another magicbook I can go back in and try the first one again, but if I fail it becomes unselectable. If that's a word.
