Not quite sure why you'd only want to level up one element, but it does show the need for multi-user support.

LOL... I went through something similar. My GF was playing w/ my iPod Touch behind my back. I had an attack when I found out that she was playing AF. LOL... well it wasn't that bad. It would be nice to be able to set up more than one character.

That's true, maybe in the future something along that line will become implemented, as for now just enjoy playing on your character lol. Things will get even better than they already are!

I'm sure of it. Either way, I think this game is big enough for the both of us.

I know how he feels about his wife playing it. My wife, upon seeing the look of the title, said: "what is this? Runescape/world of Warcraft for the iPhone?" with a bit of a tut in her voice.
"no!" I said defensively, and showed here the game. After watching me for a few hours, she asked to play and I said she could. Now she plays more often. (does quite a bit of mining which bodes well for the tower and smith as she's not too bothered about those bits.) so it's kinda a shared game for us.
I also agree, while there is no manual, part of AFs charm has been learning to play whilst doing so!

You can safely say you've done it right when you get that kind of response. So far, that's the only kind of response I've seen: "d**n! That's cool/engaging/fun! I want to play that."

you are all so funny... complaining about "the wife"!! lol when my husband got his iphone last year, i jokingly said that it replaced me, "the wife", b/c he never put it down! I couldn't get his attention to save my life (although luckily we never had to test that out for real). One year later, I swear it is still a permanent extension of his hand.
Well, once I discovered Aurora Feint, I started playing all the time.... I didn't realize how much time I was spending on my ipod until my husband started complaining that I was ignoring him. poor thing.
So, I can't thank Danielle and Jason enough for inventing a game that has helped me give my husband (unintentionally) a taste of his own medicine.
I will give my husband props for one thing though. He did get me my own device. We don't have to share, although that probably wouldn't be possible b/c i don't think he would let go of his iphone long enough for me to touch it. (i've tried)

I can't get my wife to be even one bit interested in my iPhone.
I try to show her things, and she responds by saying things like, "I don't care about your stupid phone."
I even got this response when I showed her Shazam! It's like she's trying to prove something.

i am so jealous of my husband's shazam app. if we hadn't just relocated for my husband's job (leaving me job-less), I would so have an iphone instead of just the ipod. of course, we fight over all of our "toys".
I have, however, ceded control of the remote to the man (but that is only b/c i don't really watch tv).

Oh yeah... I didn't even think about the fact that there is no mic on the Touch!
Bummer.

yep. the ipod had no mic and EDGE. Ultra-competitive, over-achiever that I am, it absolutely kills me that when we are out somewhere that i can't look up some random piece of info online myself. Nope. I have to get my husband's attention (it is of course, glued to the iphone), and then after employing much arm waving and gesturing, before finally implementing the GLARE, I then have to convince him to stop playing w/ whatever app he is on, to take a short time out to look up something.
