For the love of god, please make this for the PC. I'd pay money for it, seriously. This game is wicked addictive and would love to have it on the PC platform.

Get a Mac and play it through the iPhone simulator if you want it on a computer!

I'm not going to turn this into a Mac flame war, but I'd never spend that amount of money on a Mac with comparable specifications of a PC for 3x the price. Not to mention proprietary software and hardware.
No thanks.
On the other hand, a PC version, in my opinion, would still rock.

If you don't want to spend the money for a mac, that's your decision. But developing for the iPhone and developing for Vista are vastly different ventures, and would require huge amounts of work to do, I believe. Even more so with the lack of an accelerometer.
(srsly, in iPhone communities, we mac users outnumber PC users, so in bigger forums, this would have turned nasty. Please keep away from flame wars.)

I agree with icon that a PC version *would* be nice! Mac and Linux versions also. and a Flash version so anyone can play it everywhere. But currently, only the iPhone has the 'cello, and I can't imagine AF without that feature.

...I'd never spend that amount of money on a Mac with comparable specifications of a PC for 3x the price. Uhh, you might wanna check the prices on PCs vs. Macs again. Macs are still expensive (though only a few hundred more), but the neat thing about that is after you upgrade they still have a really good resell value, which you can't say for PC. In the long run, that technically makes the Mac cheaper than a PC. As far as the proprietary hardware and software goes, I don't really see that as a bad thing, especially since, because of that, the OS runs a lot smoother, is less resource reliant and doesn't crash much, if at all.

Mac's new OS they come out with every few years is priced at a mere 100 bucks compared to vista, which was like 300 at release. It's like having a brand new computer whenever Apple brings out new software. Snow leopard is supposed to be amazing, btw.

To the Topic Starter. You seem to have just started the game and do not seriously know that the game play requires extensive use of the in built accelerometer of the device. To get more levels and more upgrades, we need to use the tilt and turn and burst kinds of play more and more when compared to the staring levels. How do you think a person designing this game for a PC platform would imbed that kinda feature in the game?

I'm not a new user to the game, and your assumptions and attitude are really unnecessary. The fact you people are getting defensive on a web forum about a game is astounding. As a matter of fact, I downloaded AF when I purchased the iPhone 3G on launch day and play it regularly. The accelerometer issue would be easily resolved by the use of a hotkey on a PC version.
The purpose of my post was to not only suggest a non-iphone version of the game, but praise to the developers. It's an amazing program, and again, I'd gladly pay a premium for the software either on my phone or on my computer. You two worked hard to create the software, and you should be paid for it. This, obviously, has been said many times in other posts.
In response to the people getting bent out of shape over my favoritism over Windows based computers versus Macintosh computers; It's called an opinion people, and while you may not agree, it's absolutely disrespectful to chastise someone for their preference or opinion. The things I noted in my post were accurate, and in no way did I say either was better, but simply that I preferred one over the other.
In any case, can the developers comment about the possibility of a PC version? I realize you are both probably overly busy with the current project on the iPhone, and after reading over the forum quite a bit yesterday when I posted, it appears that was the direction you both wanted to go with from the start.
Cheers.

Hey man, nobody here was chastising you or disrespecting your favoritism over Windows based computers. Personally, I was just pointing out that Macs are not nearly as expensive as you claim. It wasn't a pot shot at you.
