I've noticed that there's no shortage of lame apps in the apps store. One example is Rubberduck. My favorite is SimStapler, which actually has a tallying score of the number of times you "staple," and—here's the best part—every ten staples, a British woman says, "Splendid!" Make sure you read the description and reviews for this app, they are hilarious. (I actually downloaded this so I could hear the British woman say, "Splendid!") So, what are your favorite lame apps?

ugh.....basically every app in the top 25 free category! don't get me wrong, about 1/5 is really neat the first time you try it...idk how some of those stupid apps get on that top list. Phonesaber is cool, but worthless. iPint is fun the first run through...and molecules is kind of neat also for a solid 12 seconds.

Not to avoid the question, but.... Personally I'm tired of seeing lame apps like Rubberduck that start off free, then a couple of days latter the author decides to capitilize on their lameness and charge $0.99 for it, without any warning. Same thing happened with Whip. Some authors are nice and at least give you a warning saying if you don't get it now, then you will have to pay latter. If you get it while its free, then kudos to you. If not, oh well. Personally I like the bubble wrap apps BubbleWrap and Bubble Snap myself. I saw the red stapler on SimStapler and thought maybe it had something to do with Office Space.

Bubblewrap is fun simply because it has a high score list. My brother and I have gotten pretty competitive with it. And how about all the paid tip calculators or flashlights?
BTW, I couldn't help myself. I had to post some reviews of my own to SimStapler. You have to read those things, they are just too funny.

True. I'm amazed to see people create more PAID flashlight apps, when there are already a bunch for free. Charging for a blank white screen? Please if thats all you want, there are plenty of easier ways to accomplish this and save your money. A tip is not that hard to calculate on the built in calc if you must.
Just wondering, If a free app is lame to start with, how will charging for it make it any more attractive/less lame???
Oh, I have traveled over to the SimStapler reviews and see what you mean. ;D It might take a bit to get through them at 400+ reviews.

I'm not sure, but I think reviews are different for each country, so if you aren't in the US you may be seeing something different than me.

I'm in the US, and as of right now SimStapler has 421 reviews according to iTunes and the Built in App Store. I'm kind of a slow reader at times which dosen't help either. But From the first few pages of reviews I've read so far, I see what you meant about them being funny, Like the one from Milton Waddams! EDIT: Saw yours asmeurer, LOL.

I actually submitted feedback to Apple requesting an ignore button. I'd favor a system where if 'X' percentage of users (user-definable) have chosen to ignore an app, it is ignored for me as well.
How many flashlights and Sudoku games does one app store need?

I've counted five free sudoku apps so far. I've downloaded them all to see which one is the best. Some of them are pretty simple, while others suffer from feature overload. It certainly would be silly for anyone to pay for a sudoku app.

Lol...the flashlight app industry has started to get competitive...many flashlight apps now include a built-in strobe light function As for lamest apps...pretty much every single demo app, or everything ending in 'Lite', 'Free', or 'Demo' Thanks, but three crappy levels, solvable in 10 seconds, isn't enough to convince me to spend $10 on the full version, especially when the free version is annoying the heck out of me with constant banners to buy the full version and every button I tap gets a button to pop up saying 'Please buy the full version to access this feature.'
