i got like 1000 of each im only a (grade 4 ) idk wut that means but i don't know wut to do with all of them is there anything i can do or is it a pointless feature...?

as far as I understood, you need to pay for each try in the Tower or Smith. otherwise, you can just feel extremely wealthy with 7500 Wind!

As of right now mined resources are used as currency to purchase new blueprints/skills...other than that the amounts of each that you speak of are merely stats.

Right. The crystals are used to buy the blueprints and magicbooks at the store. The magicbooks and blueprints require resources to learn and build. Each time you attempt a blueprint or magicbooks resources are deducted from your inventory. The amounts are shown in the table where you select the blueprint or magicbooks you want as well as in the inventory menus.

It would be good if we good sell our resources for crystals, which would make the game quicker... that could be a bad thing i suppose.

It wouldn't be that much, say, if we could sell for 1 crystal per 5 mined resources. I have about 4500 of each, so 4500x5 = 22500/5=4.5K crystals: I guess we could tweak the rate though.

I personally think being able to turn them in resources for crystals is a bad idea. By having more types of currency and not having it so you can switch one for a different one it makes it so the players will have to spend more time going for specificly what they need and keeping them from just leveling through the game too fast... I have soo many resources that I do not need right now but I think its a good things. What I would rather see done is later on to add things to balance everything out... Like add something to basically be a resourse sink for all those extra resources everyone has lying around... Of course it will have to be something that can come in handy and will be useful to players
just my 2 cents!

the game must not become faster then he is now... otherwise everyone is highest lever and best etc very fast and it isn't special:P

well thats not a bad idea completely alll you have to do is create some kind of challenge for trading/converting resources into another type maybe slightly harder then just mining the regular way and if u fail the test you lose the amount of resources you wanted to be converted but if succeeded your skills will be rewarded, if that makes any sense
