Mine seems to be a very big battery leech after the latest update. Full charge to 20% warning in like an hour and a half. Anyone else having this problem or is it just me?

Mine seems to have worsened as well. It was very bad with 1.0 and then got better with 1.0.1. Now it seems bad again. Although I did turn down my screen brightness in there somewhere. But I didn't turn it back up again and the juice seems to be leaking.
Did you put your phone to sleep while AF was on? I wonder if that's the problem because I did that with something like 50% battery life and came back an hour later to (phone asleep the whole time) to find only 10% left. Sleeping phone should = sleeping game.

You know, it might be because the new version uses the vibrate functionality over and over...

I have also the feeling that the battery doesn't last as long.
And I feel the vibrate rather distracts. I can't even see that you can turn it off.

Have you guys tried turning down your brightness? Mine was at 100% by default and I've turned it down to 20 or so, which is quite sufficient for indoors play.
