As a lot of you have noticed, there are situations where blocks can appear "stuck" in the new 1.0.1.1 update. Here's the details of the bug:
Sometimes if a block has just begun to fall and you manage to time it just right and move a block underneath it, it will try to keep falling but can't. The block will just stay there (and not count towards matches) until it can fall again. To fix the issue, just allow the block to fall by either moving blocks below it out of the way or rotating the phone.
I'm putting together a hot fix for this issue and the sound being off by default. It'll be 1.0.1.2. I will submit tonight to Apple. It should be live in the next few days.
Sorry about the bug!

Thanks. Will this update also fix the bug that erases game data?

Sadly, I think the the lost account data bug is not fixable in the cases where it occurs. I'm not complete sure, but my guess is that *sometimes* during the update process the existing save files (on the local phone) are being lost. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, because the game would just download the account data from our servers. However, the previous update (1.0.1.0) had a bug that prevented the server from properly being updated. So users of 1.0.1.0 who experienced the "server isn't updating" bug AND the "iTunes lost the save files during upgrade bug" -- lost their account data.
That's my working theory at this point. The server is now properly updated with 1.0.1.1, so users should not experience it again. I hope. With our next patch release (coming in the next week or two -- not the hotfix I mention here) we are replacing the entire account system with one that is much more robust. After that release, all of these problems should go away for sure.

Thank you for giving some insight on the lost account info. I've been hesitant to update yet with so many posts of lost accounts, but it sounds like it's a hit or miss kind of process. :/ It would be nice to just pick up where I left off, but it won't be terible if I had to start over. (not that far along)
Does anyone know if the backup process in iTunes durring a sync saves af gamedata, or does it just backup the apps, and posibly Apple stuff like notes info or something?

It does save it as far as I can tell, see my notes below: I lost my info too when I upgraded via WIFI. But I was able to get my info back by doing the following: Restore phone from saved backup where I knew AF had my info. Downloaded AF from App Store through Itunes. At this point it pointed out to me that I already downloaded the update. (Which I had through WIFI on my phone) Then click on Store in toolbar and choose check for purchases. It will then determine that I already downloaded the update once and allow me to redownload it. After it DL, I synced and AF updated and now I'm on new version with all my old info. This may or may not work for you, but it worked for me. I hope it works for others who had the problem [fixed your ubb code --TheConfuzed1 ]

I was so excited about the new version because I had not been able to play without reloading the game each time from the App Store. I played a ton in the last few days, but this morning it crashed and would not start again......the same old thing! After resetting my iPhone several times I ended up deleting the program and reloading again from the app store. It lost all of my data! I had mastered a few elements, but now everything was gone again. Is there a way to get back to where I was? Right now I cannot sync with iTunes because my Mac is in the shop for a few days. Please help!

I *think* that the game save data issue is an Apple issue not specific to AF. I had it erase my Dizzy Bee save data as well. Fortunately, it did not erase my AF data. Has anybody tried restoring from backup and then re-updating. Sorry, this is probably the wrong thread for this.
Thanks for fixing the stuck block issue. It is VERY annoying.

I must not be moving blocks fast enough - haven't yet hit the block stuck issue.
Where account info saving to the server is concerned, I "started over" again with 1.0.1.1, and I basically had to recreate my account. Aw, shucks, I have to PLAY that much again, all over, to build up my character again. There are certainly worse fates, for a leisure time activity.
I'm happy to hear that account saving is fixed, and I know what to do when I get to moving things fast enough that I "catch" a block and it ends up stuck.
Thanks!

This update killed my character. I wasn't too upset--I planned on reseting anyway once the infinite mulitplier bug had been squashed. However, now my sig image is only showed the maxed out data from before the update! Also, on a side note, there is another bug that you may not be aware of: When I restarted my character, I came across an oddity--I was not able to use capitalize the "C" in my character name. I got around this by Typing the "C" first, and then moving the cursor back to the beginning to type the "T," and then fill in the remaining detail.

...Restore phone from saved backup where I knew AF had my info. [stupid question] How do you do that? Also, will it interfere with a jailbreak? [/stupid question]

Yeah I noticed the block being stuck. It's quite annoying and I have to turn my ipod to get it moving. Thanks for the next update.
