I also had problems with the sounds not working after the latest update. I fixed by 1) going into 'Settings' from the iPod Touch/iPhone 'Home Screen' 2) scrolling down until the 'AF' section appears 3) Touch on 'AF' and it brings up a 'Sounds Screen' (Sounds defaulted to 'On') 4) but turn them to the 'OFF' position. 5) Start up 'AF' again 6) Shut down 'AF' after it starts up 7) Return to the 'Settings' on the 'Home Screen' 8) Scroll back down to 'AF' section 9) Click 'AF' section 10) Switch the Sounds back to 'ON' 11) Start up 'AF' 12) Sounds should have returned
Hope this works for everyone else.

Somewhat amusing aside on this topic: I was totally bummed that after I had a crash after a game had been interrupted, it seemed like sound was gone. I had plugged in headphones to play while others were asleep, went through the fix listed above, at least a couple of times, before I tried the "silence" switch on the side of the phone. With the switch set to "vibrate" sounds don't work in AF, even though music still plays. I don't know if this is expected functionality, but I was amused that I had actually turned off the sounds, physically.
I REALLY like the game with sounds! I didn't realize how much they added until I had them back (hadn't had them for all the times I got 1.0.1.0 to work).
