cannot get AF v1.0.1.2 to work!!! please help

I installed AF two updates ago and i could not level up! i played the mine for awhile and had a lot of fun, but i would really like to play through the whole game.

I didn't update the 1.0.1.1, but i DID update to the most recent 1.0.1.2 when it become available on the app store.

I still am not able to level up.

So i decided to do what was talked about in the thread:

It had me delete the local save off the iphone and then re-install via wifi app store.

I did this and it erased my character(which i don't care that much, i just want to be able to level up! hehe)

I have since tried to delete the app and reinstall via app store, itunes, etc multiple times, but each time I am still unable to level up and the top left arrow is gone that lets you leave the mine.

Please help me! i really really want to play through the game!!

You have to exit the mine to purchase blueprints, then work on those blueprints at the Smith (or the other place, whose name escapes me.) Until you complete some blueprints, you won't be able to level up anymore.
