I have a couple possible weirdnesses in scoring combos. I don't have screen shots, and I'm pasting together block pictures to illustrate what I remember of the circumstances. Initial state: (I don't seem to be able to include multiple images easily, so continued in next message in thread)...

When the move indicated by the arrow is made, the fire blocks vanish and the water blocks above them fall, producing: The next stage is this (before the water blocks pop): However, while I expected the falling water blocks to get a X2 result, they didn't, though they did vanish properly.

And then there's the Wile E Coyote combo move: First you do move 1, and while the fire blocks are popping and the water blocks above them are suspended, return the block with move 2. The falling water blocks will generate an X2 result when they aligned with the block moved while they're falling. This result was unexpected -- I assumed that blocks moved after the start of a chain shouldn't add to the chain. (I haven't done exactly the move in this illustration, but it was the simplest example I could construct of what I've done any number of times -- moving a block into alignment with falling blocks to get a combo bonus.)

I definately have seen a regular chain fail when it should have continued. It happens about 2% of the time - I notice it when I get chains of 40+ as the 2% starts to creep in and be a typical failure point of the chain.
I am not sure why it does this but it seems to happen when bricks are still unpopped or popping on the screen, but somehow the 'still in a chain' value gets set to no so you have to start over. This is annoying because it sucks to finally get to +35 (or whatever) and then see your x36 be a x2 instead.
Still, this game is awesome and it only happens intermittently.

It happens enough to really frustrate the piss out of me personally.
