I think it's so fun to play a game where you actually HAVE to learn some strategy, but in this case you don't.
So why is this? The game is not set up like tetris where you have to use your brain to get somewhere. Just try and drag your finger randomly horizontally across the screen and see fast the you will complete the three-sets. So far I have managed to get to level 7 without using tools with this method. It becomes even easier with tools. The reason is that even without trying to get multipliers you will eventually get x2 every now and then. While the bricks are waiting to explode, every three-set is going off at x2 as well. If you keep your stack as high as possible and keep randomly shifting bricks you will eventually raise your multiplier. With each increase in multiplier the time for the bricks to explode will take longer which will give your random shifting enough time to complete another three-set. You won't get much more than x10 but you sure will be getting lots of three sets on each multiplier level.
If you like to chase those HUGE multipliers then it's a cool game, but the game i pretty trivial otherwise....

That is interesting because so many people feel the game is impossibly hard and say they lose interest.
Personally, I thought it was too easy. Perhaps the suggestion of difficulty levels or other things to play with such as defeating monsters/exploring a world or multiplayer where you can compete agains others of a similar skill set would tip the balance of keeping the game interesting.
Edit: One thing is that when you master chains (or just know them well), even the level 8 blueprints become very easy. It is possible to get them in 1/3 time alloted if you multichain plenty and have a bit o' luck. All you need is about a x20 and any blueprint is yours.
