Hello All, Jason and I are working at popularizing our games and fixing all the issues we see posted here everyday. It has been a hectic few weeks with the Arena rolling out and our responding to the first set of crashes with an update! Today we come to our community asking for a bit of help!!!! Jason and I have noticed that in the appStore two of the highest ranked reviews are about the games supposed Spyware problem. If you have been here from the beginning you will know that Jason and I did not take these allegations lightly and worked very hard to make all necessary changes to make the community happy. We no longer use the address book for linking friends (the problem that started the allegations). What we would appreciate is if you, our loyal fans, would go to the appStore and rate those reviews as unhelpful. If while you are there there are other reviews that you would like to push up the ranks (especially 5 star ones ) feel welcome to do so. We would appreciate this greatly in our efforts to continue to try and offer the best games and the highest quality possible. Thanks Danielle

Hi I downloaded your game for free at Itunes and have played it on my Iphone but it keeps asking for a userID and password. When I looked at your website it says get some ID code from Itunes but I haven't found anything like that. I signed up for this forum to ask how I sign up....or is signing up with this forum enough? Very confused. L

No problem Danielle. Done. @ loden-- What? Are talking about the UDID? If so, just download AdHoc Helper from the app store. It does all of the heavy lifting for you.

loden: Please use your email as your username. The update for the beginning that makes this clear has not been released yet, but the server change has been made. From here on out all new users must use a valid email address (which should be unique) to register their game. If you try this and still have problems feel free to contact me personally.

Since purchasing the program, I have been unable to open an account or save a ghost. I tried reinstalling the application, but I still have the same problems. Is there any fix for this? I feel like I am not getting full use of this game.

Thanks Danielle Geez, Danielle....I was a very loyal fan, but since one of the updates destroyed my ability to enjoy the game (setup failed setup failed setup failed setup failed setup failed) and requests on this board for assistance, I could hardly call myself a fan anymore. I really enjoyed this game, but I think you and Jason should quit working on "popularizing" the game....PERIOD....and just work on fixing what you messed up. If you're charging $8 for the new game (which must make it about the most expensive iPod game), you can probably afford to hire somebody for tech support. But you want us to leave 5 star feedback? Give us 5 star support for the myriad of issues and you'll get it.

photographer45: You mentioned a few issues in your post. 1) couldn't set up character 2) couldn't get response to your questions on forums 3) too expensive Re: setting up the character: Could you describe the problem? Re: no response on forums: This board runs on its members. There isn't a "team" that answers questions. There are 4 mods, myself included, and members. We volunteer to answer threads. We can't answer every thread, every day. Re: price: The devs made an initial game, The Beginning, which they did not charge for. They have to make money too. I'm not telling you how you should rate the game. But I am asking you to consider the circumstances before you flame everyone.

All the games are getting our attention and a set of fixes.
Aurora Feint: The Beginning ------------------------------- The Beginning has an update in the queue with Apple that sorts out many of the account problems that you have been witnessing. I spend several hours each day serving as tech support for people that have lost accounts due to any problems in our system. Accounts are bound to devices with emails and passwords to help retrieve them easily and to make it easy for us to manage community features.
If you ran into problems being repeatedly asked to setup an account over the past week or so that problem has been fixed and you should be able to setup your account without problem. As a bonus the new bugfixed version of the beginning that is being released has 12 added blueprints.
Aurora Feint II: The Arena ----------------------------- Over the past week we have fixed several bugs in the Arena and changed the account flow to a wizard flow that should help avoid any confusion that players have had while transferring accounts. For example, a forget username, password, email or what not. There are a lot of plans for the Arena.
There is an update in the queue for the Arena as well.
Aurora Feint II: The Beginning ---------------------------------- I revamped version of the Beginning with asynchronous chat and player walls. This game is for people that are not ready to upgrade to the Arena but would like additional community features. If you have the Arena this game is not for you.
Aurora Feint II: Tower Puzzles ---------------------------------- Casual players and hardcore players alike will love this game. Learn chaining and instapopping strategies in 37 levels of alchemy tower inspired puzzles.
Please note that Jason and I keep an eye on these forums constantly. Although sometimes we stay silent we take note of the ideas and problems that people have. We are dedicated to giving you games that play well and have the amazing feature set that you want and we require.

Will the 12 new blueprints be added to the Arena version of the game, too?
Thanks!

photographer45 was a little harsh but I'm also trying to hold back frustration. I just bought arena and haven't been able to play it yet! I can't get it to retrieve my account. I had it send (reset) my password twice (because it didn't work the first) and it is telling me "the username and password are valid but the connection was" (that's it, it cuts off). any ideas? I'm sure once I actually get to play the game I'll love it as much as "the beginning" and review it, but I think it's best if I wait to do so.

Photographer45 was not at all harsh. Aurora Feint II: The Arena is broken. Connection issues have driven the game to complete unplayability. These forums only echo one tenth of what players are saying in the Tavern itself. I am no longer a fan, period. The $7.99 I paid is what prevents me from deleting the program entirely, but I am moving on.

I echo the same concerns jack mentioned. Made some good friends, some great regulars (or used to be), and it was fun while it lasted.

eliu, I couldn't consider what I wrote to be a flame, because they were specific issues that have been addressed on this board many times without response. I don't care about them charging $8 for an updated game, however I do care that they're asking for positive feedback without fixing all the problems the more recent updates have created.
Danielle, it's good to know you're working on the fixes, but wouldn't it be considerate if you or Jason would post a little "Thanks for the input....we'll try to fix that asap" instead of remaining silent?

I am in agreement with photographer45 here. It strikes me as pretty audacious of the developers to be soliciting positive feedback when there are clearly (according to the forums) some major problems.
I was a heavy player of AF:TB, but have been unable to play AF2:TB due to account problems. At least I only dropped a buck instead of 8.

I might be repeating something that has been said before, but so far I have not seen anyone take notice of this problem. I bought the newest version of the game for 7.99 and when I started playing I did not even try to use any online part of the game. When I finally did try to use an online feature I got the same message saying that I was not connected to the Internet althuogh when I checked I was connected to my wifi and could use other Internet functions. Is there any way to fix this problem immeditly or do I need to wait for some sort of update?
