Many, many users have reported problems with accessing their accounts, inability for the application to recognize their online status or to retrieve prior stats. The symptoms are pretty universal and the apparent lack of response by the developers in the "Read this before you post" thread is woefully inadequate.
The important thing is for the developers to keep their CUSTOMERS informed as to what's happening. I'd suggest a simple daily update that includes the date and status: "We're still working on the issue 12/29" or "The fix is waiting in Apple's queue 12/29". Anything, even "We're out of town, visiting our families for the holidays 12/24-1/4" is better than silence.
