app no longer available from app store? Hmm, that is odd. Wonder if they took it down until they could vet the code more now that some concerns have popped up or for the update

It says not available in the US store. There was a case when it went offline when the store first opened, but that said nothing about the specific US store. How about you people in other countries?

Not available in Australia... Although whether we get a separate appstore, I'm not sure.

I just got a Cro-Mag update, proving that updates can come after hours. That's two updates for Cro-Mag-Rally so far. Of course Apple looks after the paid apps.

Not in Canadian store either. Same thing happened with Friend Book. Maybe they did pull it off the store because of the privacy concerns. Even though those concerns are overblown, it might make Apple a bit wary. Otherwise, maybe it's a way to prepare for the update. But I didn't notice that an app would be missing from the store for hours before being updated. As for free vs. paid, several of the apps which have been updated since the app store opened are free. feeds.feedburner.com/RecentlyUpdatedIphoneApplications-PinchMedia?format\\x3dxmlOne issue, though, is that AF had a lot more changed items than those other apps.

Apple had to have pulled it due to the privacy issues so they won't get any of the fallout either, considering how their 2.0 software update has gone so far. you could hear "Apple lets people download "spyware"? What?" I just hope they will put the update out soon and let people download the fixed version.
Oh, btw, Great job devs. On the game itself and quickly putting to rest/addressing these issues of so called "spyware".

Ugh, I hope not, I finally find a game that entertains me like Bejeweled 2 and I have been watching this thread for the update

AF now disappeared from the search results (it was still showing up as a result, earlier tonight, when it said it was unavailable from that store). It's still in the Top Free apps but the link to the game's page says that it's unavailable (as it did earlier tonight). I'm now leaning toward the "catastrophe prevention pull-out" theory. And it really does sound like Tapulous's Friend Book. As others have said, Apple probably wants to keep privacy concerns as low as possible. Ah, well, speculating is fast getting old...

my hunch is that AF and Apple are in the midst of a $deal$. Apple has seen the response to this game and wants to make it a flagship iPhone staple.

I'm just a guy. I live in Ohio. I am a bartender. I have one Apple product, my 1st gen iPhone. I am a "jack of all trades" but I have one ability in this lfe and that is, for better or for worse, whatever sparks my interest I always see the whole picture. I rarely post. And it may not be right this week, but the devs of AF have struck gold in their lives, trust me.

Man, I wasn't trying to be mean, just saying yeah that would be a dream ;D Please don't post less often here just because I said something relatively stupid. You should go send a PM to the devs and ask them if you are right Again, my apologies if you took that as an insult.

No, not at all. All I'm saying is that I have intuition...I've seen the future and it will be. Roar, you are the most productive member around this game. I am merely an observer.

Well, what the f... is this? They really took the app from the store in Germany as well? - Do the developers have any idea why?

Just a guess: but since the software isnt syncing atm there is no reason to have it available in the store till the update is out.
