VNC has to be the coolest app apart from AF of course!

Ah, yes. I forgot to mention VNC. Mobile VNC meets pinch zoom. The result: AWESOME!!

I love the Texas Hold 'em game from Apple. It's got great polished graphics and two display modes. It's pretty tough to master, I'm definitely not going to go on "the tour" anytime soon.

FileMagnet OmniFocus Google Mobile App Facebook Monkey Ball Cro-Mag Aurora Feint Tap Tap Revenge Critter Crunch
I travel a lot so games are essential! OmniFocus is great if you are a bit of a workaholic and forgetful. And Critter Crunch is devastatingly adorable.

Twinkle AIM MySpace Dobot Todos (and I've love insight on a better To Do program) Box Office Urban Spoon (fun!) TapTap AF (obviously) Tetris If Found (I used it to make an ICE screen--a necessity with my conditions, meds, and allergies)

Moonlight Mahjong Lite is quickly becoming my third most played game (after AF and Cro-Mag-Rally). It is a Mahjong game with really intuitive 3d multitouch controls.

That would be cool…if I had an iPhone. iPod touch with wifi based location isn't going to cut it. Any word if Garmin is going to enter the market? I find their interface more intuitive and unobstructed with unnecessary stuff. Where are you people hearing about these yet to be released apps? I'd put money on it. Once one of the GPS giants comes out with an app, the rest will follow. Let the price wars begin.

Is this really an Apple game? I guess it is. I didn't realize they made anything other than Remote. 128 Mb is pretty big, especially for a card game! It's kind of cheap of Apple to charge $5 for their game when they don't have to split 30%.

peligra, do you recommend I download and pay the 5 bucks for texas hold em poker? I'd recommend it if you like Hold 'Em. It's my second favorite game on the iPhone. AF being my first I will say that though the animations are masterfully done they do get old on occasion but the ability to tilt and get an overhead view of the table instead of the animations relieves it a lot.

I use pretty consistently: SodaSnap (cute little postcards emailed from photos you snap...) Magic8Ball...kinda wonky, but it gives me joy! Shanghai Mahjong - I love the "fractal" tileset, so beautiful! Moonlight Mahjong Lite - I wish I could merge the above mahjong with this one - I prefer the gameplay on it! Twinkle AF (does that need to be in this list?) eReader - Clive Barker in my pocket!!! Stanza - more reading! Molecules - so geeky, but so fascinating.

If you're looking for a fun and entertaining game you have to check out Enigmo ( "Best iPhone Game" Award at Apple's WWDC '08). (check the youtube vids or something) It will keep you busy for a long time and stays interesting. Other apps which are pretty neat; tap tap revenge, labyrinth, shazam, NYTimes, Netnewsgator, etc.

So I went ahead and bought Enigmo since it looks like the AF update will be a while with this whole community feature mess. It's pretty fun, and hard enough to have replay value. You do have to have touch precision: don't get it if you have shaky fingers. I'll have to see how fun it is once I beat all the levels. It does let you save several game states, though, a feature I wish AF had. It's basically the same as the computer version (there's a mac demo if you want to try that), only better because of multitouch.

I couldn't wait to download Super Monkey Ball, and as I suspected, it is fun. However, I think I like Enigmo better. I guess I'm more of a puzzle type of gamer, which is probably why I've been preoccupied with Aurora Feint since I discovered it.
