Constently using:
Moonlight Mahjong Lite (great for a free app) Texas Hold 'em ($4.99, but well worth it...great graphics and fun to play) Shazam (Great music finder) Pandora Radio (when i'm not listening to my ipod) Super Monkey Ball (shows off the iPhone's true potential) New York Times (easy news access) sports tap (free and quick sports scores and transactions) and of course AF!!

Oh, and in case anyone was interested.. the AIM app is a waste of time. You don't get alerts of new messages when the phone is not in the app itself. Don't get messages at the Home screen, or when the phone is locked, or in another app. Stupid. Yep basically what I have been figuring out while playing with it the past couple of days. Really a waste, maybe mobile me will have an answer. Apple is working on a service that will ping you when you get a message in AIM when you aren't in the app. It's on a few tech news sites how it works and that that feature will be implemented in Sept, I think. I haven't read anything on whether other apps will be able to access that feature too. Getting pinged when I get a message/comment on Myspace or Facebook and checking the app would be so much better than getting email alerts, checking email, tapping link, redirected to safari, log into website, navigate to inbox... etc.

The service is already available. The same service puts number on app icons, and at least one app that I use has those (WeatherBug)

I'm basically gonna post reviews of the apps I have.
HoldEm- I haven't found any bugs with this; plays great, looks great. 4.5 stars because the AI makes some stupid choices sometimes, and
Super Monkey Ball- If you haven't bought it yet due to it's low ratings, BUY IT. The only reason the rankings are low is because so many people leave messages saying "OMG its liek 2 hard 2 move". You get used to the relatively sensitive controls... and it becomes really really fun. 4 stars because of the low replay value in my opinion.
Aurora Feint- Of course. 5 stars.
Chopper- I think this game is really fun, good pick up and play game. 4 stars, there's nothing wrong with it in my eyes... It just doesn't seem like a 5 star game.
Vay- I haven't played this much but it looks promising, plus its the only traditional RPG on the iPhone unless I'm blind. I'm not going to rate it yet but it looks like it will be a solid 4-star game.
Tap Tap Revenge- I love this game. There seems to be a few bugs in scoring, seeing as I can get 2 totally different scores and still have 100% accuracy, but all in all the gameplay is quite fun. 4 stars
Labyrinth Lite Edition- Haven't played this much, but when I did it was really addicting, I'd recommend buying the paid version with 500 levels if you like this one.
Ok this post is getting long... I'm just going to list some other recommendations of mine. Crash Racing, Dizzy Bee, Cube Runner (free), INSTAPAPER (free), facebook (free), Pandora (free), WeDict (free), BoxOffice (free), Enigmo.

Has anyone found an app that fixes the ability to send and receive picture messages with out having to log on to viewmymessage.com? I was hoping this would be fixed in 2.0 it is definatly one of the biggest flaws the iphone has. I was pretty disapointed when I first got my iphone and found out something so simple was missing from this great peice of technology.

I really like NetShare. It was only on the store for a couple hours, but it allows me to use 3G on my laptop when WiFi isnt available. I also love Motion X Poker.

Grrr I missed it, could have been very useful. But according to what I heard this is not the first time they're sacked... may be they'll put it again... My favorite apps are (unsorted) : Shazam, ShoppingList, Units, Mobile PFots (formerly Mobile Flickr), Cube Runner, VNC Lite and justs for fun PhoneSaber and iPint. I think Barcode can be very useful, but I had no occasion to test it yet.

i really like (in no particular order) midomi (i like this better than shazam 'cause there's more ways u can search), convertor, express (i like how the weather has real feel as well as humidity and wind speed), splash shopper (buying the iphone app entitles you to the desktop app. just email splashdata), muddle, super monkey ball (it's harder on the iphone than the wii!) and a couple of the jirbo games (break, jam and arcade), zenbe and evernotes.

Updates to my list: I like the fortune cookie (free) but it crashes my phone all the time. Lame. Jawbreaker (free) is pretty nifty for a quick popping game. Fire drop is also pretty cool, but the "wisdom" is a little goofy I still love "Soda Snap" - great free postcard app!

Enigmo now lets you download user made puzzles, making for virtually unending puzzling (my initial fear was that I would solve all the puzzles and then be done with it. I didn't realize just how hard some of the puzzles are!).
Subway is a new puzzle game that I like. You have to rearrange the dots, but they can only move between spaces if there is a line of the same color as the dot between them. It's a little hard to explain. There is a lite version, and I'm considering buying the full thing.

The thing that asmeurer is referring to is not available system-wide. With Push Notification, it will be. Personally, I can't wait to start using AIM in place of text messaging. That should save most of us a few dollars. That leaves more money left over to buy apps! Woo hoo!
