Got all the Blueprints, Magicbooks and Scrolls. Mined over 1100 points and started working on the Magicbooks. Completed a Magicbook and got a Blue 'Go To Store' button. Nothing happened when pressed button. iPhone crashed. Restarted. AF then crashes during launch and returns to desktop (several restarts give same failed launch). When synched iPhone, got Apple 'gathering data on crash' dialogue and showed folder with about 20 crash files etc. Removed AF, and re-installed. Lost all that progress - even though signed in with same user name and it said getting data from server. All gone - back to the start. Waah!
When it works - truly excellent, and definitely chargeable for. When it crashes - heartbreaking!

dont reinstall just b/c you have a log in account saved to the server doesnt mean it saves your data / progress. i think this idea of being able to save locally has been added to the wish list of future updates.

Er - I HAD to reinstall - I had an app that wouldn't start! Rebooting the iPhone made no difference.
Launch, Wait 30 seconds, returned to desktop, repeat as many times as you like.

don't put a new character name after reinstall. This is what i think might have happend: (i have some hints but im not reallysure) You've got a unique device-id (like imei its always connected to your device) You install AF. AF-Server looks into the DB and doesn't find an account. So the server doesn't respond. Your device now thinks "no answer? Lets make a new account..." Your iphone saves your data locally and every now and then, you push the data to the server. By re-instalingl you are erasing your local data. So it begins again. You send your device ID. Here is the trick: The server normally finds your account and pushes it to your iphone. You can continue using your char. But if the server is unreachable (gateway error, some broken connections, whatever) your iphone wont get a response and asks you to create a new account. if you do so, the next push to the server will overwrite your old account-data! So i personally would not create a new character (even with the same name) just wait some time... or ask someone

af does save locally as well as remotely, so this shouldnt be a problem... if this pops up again, read some of the other threads and if you email your device id to the devs they should be able to help u

Ill look into it. The data is saved locally and remotely. This should not occur.
