I just updated to 1.0.0.1 but my previous character has been wiped out. How do i recover this?

Mine did that as well, however, all of my tool and essence mastery are still where I was before the update. But I'm back to level 0 with no crystals or resources mined...and I was lvl 7!!!
Any way to get it all back?
