Hello, I am most definitely enjoying Aurora Feint, but I seem to be using version 1. I noticed in the forums and on the App Store that a newer version was available, but I cannot "Update" the game.
How do I go about updating and saving my character data?
I'm worried about deleting my version 1 of the game, installing ver 1.0.0.1 and having to start from scratch.
Thank you in advance, looking forward.

Ok nevermind. When I backed up the program to my laptop, I was able to "Get Info" and realized I do have 1.0.0.1.
Strangely though, none of the bugs that are supposed to be fixed in this version are actually fixed. Maybe the post I read was referring to the *next* update.
Any case, I'm enjoying the game, much love to the coders.

If you can read the descriptions of the tools and they don't wrap off of the screen, then you have 1.0.0.1. Also, version 1.0 doesn't have ANY tools in regular mining mode.

Thanks for your reply. I must have 1.0.0.1. Please allow me to ask a few more questions:
1. Why is mining water so slow compared to the other resources? I have over 1000 of certain resources, but rarely more than 100 of water.
2. When do you expect to release the next update?
3. Why can't I keep my accumulated resources if I choose to "Stop Mining and Return to Map"?
4. Ultimately what is the point of all this mining? It takes me about 15 minutes to Level Up each time, and bloody forever to mine enough water to take on the challenges. What am I working toward anyway?
Thank you, again let me say that I enjoy the game so far. Kudos.

I'll try to answer your questions ...
1. The blocks are all random, so it shouldn't take any longer to mine one type of resource compared to another.
2. Early this week according to Danielle.
3. You can (and do).
4. You need to mine to gain resources to build blueprints and magic books, purchased using crystals (also from mining) which you are given the ability to buy when you level up. Levelling up and completing blueprints adds new tools to the game board, levels up existing tools, and makes resource collection easier (by giving multipliers etc)
Hope that helps.
