Currently, there doesn't seem to be any penalty for "dying" in the mines, other than having to start over, which seems kind of odd.
Also, when you die, and choose the "mine again" option, you're reset back to playing at speed 0, even if you were playing at 90 before you die. If you die while playing at speed 0, the game will forgive you saying "You die when the blocks reach the top. Since is your first time, we'll clear some blocks for you" even if you've been playing the game for hours.

Must be some glitch in the game, there is nothing to fix that I think.

oibalf: I agree, I think there should be a small penalty for 'dying', maybe like you lose experience.

You can tell the developer that! They will definitely accept that, it's a really good idea.

Interesting thought guys. We'll mull it over and see if it's appropriate. Btw, the "you can't lose" when you die and restart has been fixed in 1.0.1
