I like the sound of that, Auroraholic. Maybe that could be the official term for us gamers of Aurora Feint?
Anywho, I work for O2, the cell/mobile phone providers in the UK who sell the iPhone. I bought one on Saturday after I got back from holiday to the states visiting my girlfriend, having realised that access to music, movies and games on one small device would have made an 8 hour flight much more bearable. I also mourned my inability to shut out the crying kids in Gatwick airport short of watching the Matrix on my PSP, which is somewhat combersome to fiddle discs with when you're lugging baggage around and don't want something stolen.
So yes, I purchased the iPhone, and have spent some time fiddling with it and downloading apps from the store. I started with AIM, to chat with friends while in the middle of work (handy!), and a simple lightsaber app. And then I stumbled across Aurora Feint.
Completely by accident, I assure you.
I looked at some of the reviews on iTunes, along the lines of "awesome" and "great," and, having seen the rather hefty pricetag of £0, I decided to download and give it a try. If I am honest, I wasn't expecting much from a free game.
I was spellbound. This is by far the best game I have played on a portable format in months. The visuals are deceptive: they appear simple, but some real loving work has gone into the artwork. The map, the icons, the characters, everything looks spectacular. The gameplay is incredibly addictive, I can honestly say that I lost track of time playing this game. I was up until 2am on a work night playing it, which is something I never do.
A fantastic game, I'm really enjoying it.
Any more Auroraholics out there from the grand old UK?
