I have a Macbook Pro and I use safari to surf the web. When I login to this forum, I have to select Forever login choice or I will not login correctly. If for example I choose 6 hours, after I press Return, the home page will load but i am not logged in. Somebody help!!

Do you have private browsing turned on?
You can check this under the Safari menu.

What are your cookie settings in the Safari Prefs (under security)? Also, are you running Leopard or Tiger? Make sure you have the latest software updates either way (even if that's not the problem, it's still a good idea).

Do you have private browsing turned on? You can check this under the Safari menu. Why would i have Private browsing turned on? I don't really need it. I have Leopard 10.5.4 and I have checked software update and all my software is up to date. Could it be related to my system? Or is it a problem with the forum?

I was only asking because it changes the way cookies are handled. And that leads us to the previous question regarding cookies...

Yeah, you might have set your browser to reject all cookies, or to clear cookies upon closing the window. But it's not the problem of Safari (I use Safari and it logs me in.)
