I have updated to 1.0.1.0 and I have solved all the puzzles and I can't level up anymore. As soon as I go to the mine I get a warning "you must compete your existing challenges in order to level up." Then I get the choices to buy challenges or keep mining. No matter how many crystals I mine I cant get to the next level. My character is on Enlightened level 4. is anybody else having this problem.

When I updated to 1.0.1.0 I lost all my skills and stats. My name was the only thing that stuck. I was a level 0 necophite and I was unable to level up because i hadn't "completed all challenges." All I had to do was go to my profile page and reset all levels. I went to level 1, and everything was back to normal.

And by normal, I mean I could level again. Not that all my stats returned.

Yes, I've done all the skills, maxed everything out, have obnoxious amounts of "most" crystals, but am at Enlightened 4, level 68 and am unable to level further. Downloaded the update last nights and still the only thing I can do is collect more crystals. Not sure how people get Master Level or level 90...

My wife had the same issue after updating to 1.0.1.0. Unfortunately, I didn't understand what "Reset character levels" meant, and when she asked about that, since it seemed like her character had been reset by the update and was level zero (though all masteries were at level 1 or higher, 500+ crystals collected, many resources) I told her she should reset. Once she did, everything was back to zero, her character was at level 1, and there were no crystals or resources.
Granted, this mainly just means she has to now play tons more (the horror!) to get levels back, but once levels and resources mean more (when team play is activated, etc), it would be much more detrimental/annoying to lose everything by a version upgrade.
I have screenshots of the character before the reset, but at the time, the game wasn't cycling correctly, so at least now it is working to get back through the process of mining, hitting the tower or smith for upgrades, & back to mining some more.
Keep cranking! Thanks again for the ridiculously cool game, glitches included. It seems like you're breaking new ground, most likely because I never thought to expect this kind of game experience on a phone.

I haven't even gotten there. I updated, had to reinstall it, and I"m stuck in the endless loop (as per my previous post). But, I'm in the same boat of not leveling up.

There seems to be a lot of confusion about the levels here so I'll try to clear up some of the confusion.
If you look at my signature, you'll see I'm level 68. This is created by adding up the tool levels and the element levels. So ... 6 tools, 8 levels each, plus 5 elements, 4 levels eachs gives us :
6*8 + 5*4 = 68.
Note that this 'level' is not reported in game anywhere. The equivalent in game is Enlightened level 4. Do not be confused as towards the end you will cycle through Enlightened levels 0-4 several times as Enlightened is currently the highest level available.
The mining speed in game is independent of this value. Currently the maximum speed you can get is 90 which you will reach when you have maxed out all tool and element upgrades.
Hope that clears up the confusion.

The "maximum" speed isn't technically 90. It should start at 90, and you should be able to drag the slider farther to the right.
