Greetings, Feinters! I'm a level 1 Journeyman, and I'm having a really hard time getting my challenges in and leveling up. I've been mining and mining, going through the "you must complete challenges to level" cycle, and realized the problem: I have a serious imbalance of resources. I currently have 4,228 crystals; resources mined are: 1383 fire 1093 water 1657 leaves 852 moon (shadow) 69 wind (Nope, not 690....*69.*) To not even have 100 wind when I have hundreds of everything else is putting a serious cramp in the game for me. Right now I'm mining, taking a shot at a new challenge, either making it through (yay) and mining yet again or failing and lather, rinse, repeat. I have a ton of resources for everything but wind, I should be able to do a few of these in a row...but I can't. And I'm not levelling because making it through the challenges has become so slow. Any way to fix the imbalance? Is there a "wind multiplier" I should be looking for? Thanks for the help on such a great game!

Unfortunately, most of the upgrades require more wind than anything else. I think it was intentional, but I haven't seen the developers mention it specifically.

The latest I saw from Danielle said that each of the resources are used exactly the same amount throughout all the blueprint builds, so there should be no imbalance

Are you updated to the latest version. I had this same problem on 1.0.0.1, but it seems to have been fixed in 1.0.1.0.

The best way to cure an imbalance is to use a furie on the lowest element and make sure that you can line up 5 (yes 5!) of the element blocks while they are flashing. This will give you a huge bonus compared to a three or four block combo. It takes time, practice, luck and skill to do it but if you do you'll score at least 1,000 in the target element.

I have the same problem with the wind element. It seems to not display near as much as the other elements. In addition, you have to use truckloads of it early on. Most of the high level blueprints require high amounts of wind as well. I agree with the poster who said that it seems intentional, it would be great if they fixed it though.

In 1.0.0.1, almost everything costed wind essence, including blueprints and magicbooks. Since 1.0.1.0, I think the resources have since been evened out, so perhaps time will solve this problem. Of course, you could, like ebronte76 said, use furie tools/ get multipliers on the lowest essence.
