I have thoroughly enjoyed this game up to this point. I am stuck with a few blueprints that require (For example) 50 flame and 50 wind in approx 2 mins. I have tried about 10 times now and just don't see how I am ever going to be able to do this. While I do know how to get 4 and 5 blocks at once, I just don't see how I can be expected to repeat that process 10 times for each of the elements. That would work out to about a 5 block combo every 6 seconds to accomplish it. I have used tools (like the alchemist) to maximize my mining values but just cant seem to get past this one. What am I missing here?

Many people have experienced this frustration, and have voiced their feelings on the subject very clearly.
That chorus of voices has not gone unnoticed by the developers, and an upcoming update is said to contain a difficulty adjustment.
Stay tuned.

Thanks for taking the time to give me some feedback. My wife and i love this app. I assume since others have accomplished it, the key is to line things up for sequences of combos where the multipliers will allow the totals to get accomplished. Unfortunately, we are not good enough to do it with such a small time limit. We will, however, definitely look forward to the developers nerfing it somehow with an adjustment like you mention to allow us to continue playing. AWESOME APP. WE VERY MUCH LOVE IT. CERTAINLY THE BEST APP IVE SEEN IN THE APP STORE, FREE OR NOT!!!!

Difficulty adjustment? If I may throw in my own two cents on this...I too have had some difficulty finishing the final blueprints (to get 8/8 on each tool). I have got so far as 235/250 on the elements in question, but can't seem to get those last 15. I have tried about 14 times, and usually end up about 190-210/250. I even failed to complete it before the giant combo bug was fixed! I believe that instead of lowering the numbers needed, a slight frequency boost of the high number resources would suffice. It always seems that the ones I need never generate! Typical feelings from someone who can't finish though I guess. Anyways, please keep this game geared towards adult difficulty whatever the case may be. I would like to keep playing, and challenges are all that keeps me interested in particular games. I will also echo that by saying this is BY FAR the best game out there for the iPhone, period. Few come within shouting distance, but are drowned out by replayability. I have been a gamer my entire life, and find myself, time and time again, sitting on the couch, in front of the five consoles hooked up to my t.v., playing Aurora Feint on my iPhone. Love you guys, you're the greatest! Also, I'd like to throw out the fact that even if I complete all of the challenges, and then this becomes a pay app, I would definately buy it. My guess is that the scrolls that are not yet available will be their trump card to get all to pay for the app when it inevitably (AS IT SHOULD) becomes a pay app. I just ask that you be gentle with the pricing, although I admit I probably would still buy it at ten bucks a whack for me and my wife both.

How do I get the tool blocks into my blueprint? I've managed to do it twice by accident, but can't seem to be able to do it consistently. Thanks!

I agree about upping the frequency of the needed blocks.
It seems if you need fire and earth then are LESS frequent than in a blueprint where you need Water and Air.
The tools thing is completely random as far as I can tell.
I also think that if you don't get the opportunity to use a tool you shouldn't have it removed from your inventory.
my 3 cents

I always have way more tools in inventory than could ever be used it seems. To use tools in a blueprint, simply double tap the screen at any time, once it's started, and choose the tool you would like to use. You cannot, however, choose where it drops in at.

You must double tap the block you want to convert to a tool - there is strategy involved in placement so be careful about which block you double tap! Happy mining! :-)
