In the UK O2 ar eventually releasing the 3G on pay as you go, but it will cost £360 for the 16GB which is steep. I dont know about AT&T though, I presume they are doing the same.

That january update sucked....good thing this 2.0 update was only 10 bucks for iPod touch users. 360 pounds for the 16gb iPhone huh, that's quite a bit more than I paid for mine...how much is a gallon of gas over there?

The update was free on the first day, whether or not this was intentional or not, apple wont say. If you had it on contract here from £35-£45 then you could get it for £60 or above £45 for free. Because of the 18 month contract which comes to at least £630 I would prefer to go on pay as you go. "Gas" as you yanks call it is about £1.15 a liter. What that is in gallons I cant be bothered to figure out.

Ouch, but still half of what we're paying.

Ouch, but still half of what we're paying. Yeah gas here is about 4-4.50 depending on where you are. We think it is super high, I could not imagine putting a few liters in my big American car and being pleased driving to the store and back and then being on empty >_<

Ouch indeed since I go through a tank every 4 days. It was $56 today to fill up my car and that's for my sedan. When I drive my "fun" car I have to use premium which is almost $5 a gallon.

16 gig iTouch.
I think it works great, although I'm running a bit low on memory, data management isn't that bad. And about the 2.0 update, since I didn't get the January update, I didn't really mind paying $10 for something that was originally $20 + more.

What are you guys using and why? When did you get your iPhone/iTouch and how? Do you have a 3G or an the 1ST Gen? If you have an iTouch how did you feel about the charge for the 2.0 release? If you have an old iPhone are you going to upgrade to 3G? If so why? Also, for those that have it hidden, where are you from and what do you do? Is your phone FROM work? FOR work? for fun ;D Im using the iTouch 16GB, because it is a lot cheaper than an 18 month contract of at least £35 per month. There wasn't a charge for it on the first day, i don't think this was intentional, oh well, that's ok for us ;D And I'm from the UK (given away because its not hidden and that i'm using the Great British Pound)

iTouch 8gb. Did not pay for the software update, because I did not want to give apple more money. I plan on upgrading to an iPhone if they make a pay as you go plan. I really don't want to pay 100$ a month for it. Btw, will unlock it for free(get the software before 2.0, unlock , upgrade.) oh, you can jailbreak the phone and iPod from windows and mac. For some reason I can't, but that's because of my computer
