I would like to apologize to those of you who have been having a less than stellar experience getting up and going with the AF II. We're working incredibly hard to make this massively multiplayer online game work. There have been more sleepless nights than we can even keep track of. And, unfortunately, with so much to do in so little time, we sometimes make mistakes.
This particular situation is a result of having our servers overloaded due to unexpected demand over the holidays. Danielle and I had taken our first days off in months and were away visiting friends and family, so we were not fully aware of the scope of the issue. This is also why we were silent on the forums.
Needless to say, we're back and things should be humming again. We upgraded our web servers a few hours ago which has alleviated the bulk of the issue. If you were having trouble, please try logging in again. If it is *still* not working for you, please post here. We will personally help every person who posts here get online in AF II.
Thanks for supporting us, - Jason and Danielle

We have had a great response to Aurora Feint II and, in turn, have had our servers beaten to a pulp. We're in the process of doing some optimizations that will improve performance for both The Arena and The Beginning. I just pushed an update which has alleviated the bulk of the issue, so if you're had trouble logging in to the Arena since the update, try again. All should be well. Post here if you're still having trouble. Thanks for bearing with us! Thank you for fixing this, Jason. In the future, it would be wise to invest in better servers, methinks. You know how popular the iPhone platform is. I would think this sort of demand should not be unexpected. Anywho, the updated update works. Thanks. A777

Kamuys, It sounds like you're experiencing something a little funny... Can you try doing a few things for me?
1) Restart your phone and try again. 2) Uninstall/Reinstall the Update and try again. Make sure if you do this by deleting and synching from your desktop, that you are using the new Update and not the original version. 3) If it is still failing to start, can you send me the crash logs on your phone? I'm not sure how to grab them without developer tools, but there are threads on this forum about how to get them.

Can you be more specific moose? What do you mean it won't recognize your account? What screens are you seeing? Are you using the same device you used for the Beta -- if so I can check in our database and see if there's something funny going on.

I can't transfer my account or play the game - it says my username and password don't match my account. I'd love to start playing online and updating my stats. When I hit the forgot password and type in my email address, it comes back with "failed to send information. Verify your internet connection and try again. (I have internet connection.) And then it freezes and I have to restart the application. But then I can't get past the transfer account screen so... I can't play the game.
Any insight? Can you view my account?
---UPDATE -- I just downloaded the update, restarted, typed in my email address and finally it synched. However, it doesn't remember any data or level info (it does know that my character was Spud so it wouldn't let me call it the same name - so now my character is Spudnik and I'm at level 0 instead of level 23. I guess because I never was able to synch after buying Arena, all the progress never went onto the server? So... did the update erase all my stats on my iTouch? I'll start over again if I have to (for the third time, since I used to play Beginning and that never went over either) but... if there's someway you know to regain my stats on my iTouch, please share.
Thanks,

Are you using the same device you used for the Beta -- if so I can check in our database and see if there's something funny going on. it all happened so fast.. iThink at first AF said it will look up username via my apple id for the account info, but then it could not find it and I had to set up a new account. In the past deleting the app and re-installing would bring up the intro- you could start fresh.. so after reboot AF said it found the ID, I had to put in my e-mail and pw; dialog box said "e-mail must be a valid e-mail address..OK" couldn't get anywhere around putting in a new e-mail/acct but it didn't seem to dig the original user/e-mail/pw- checked on the af/verify page and the accnt is still there.. Same device as beta, but iJust happened to Pwnage jailbrake last night.. 2.2, nice timing

OMG! I can't believe this is happening again. Another update that causes more problems. After update, I could not get past the whole Aurora Feint II The Beginning thing, which I don't have. I deleted and reinstalled, and my account was not recognized. I was on Level 44! And I synced constantly.
I exited out to the home screen, then went back in. It authenticated my account then attempted to retrieve it. It found my email address. After I entered my password, it said that my email address is not unique. What the HELL?!
On aurorafeint.com. I was able to verify my account. BUT my level and avatar gender is incorrect.
HELP!
Update:
Thanks Danielle and Jason for getting me back in!

When you say you pushed an update, what app are you referring to? I only see an update for the free AF.

Hey Starlin, I just modified my original post to make it a bit clearer. What I meant is that our web servers also run a program that handles all the communication between players in Aurora Feint. That web server program was running slow because more people were playing than we had anticipated. We upgraded that to fix the problem. Hope that makes sense

I finally got to play this afternoon, so thanks!
Appears to be down again now, though. No tavern, leaderboards etc.

Turns out I'm having trouble syncing my account over to AF2:B. I see my character's name with level 0. Syncing, rebooting, uninstalling, reinstalling, verifying on the website, all to no avail. My character's name is Starlin. Side note: new build of AF1 shows all previously purchased blueprint as purchasable again.

This is a cross-post with another thread, since the issue is persisting after the server upgrade. I've been unable to create an account with Aurora Feint: The Beginning I. Whenever I try (using any combination of characters), I get a message saying "username not unique." Because of the way the game is set up, I can't even play the game unless I disconnect my wifi.
